Loved it until it became dangerous

I did receive a email from trustpilot to submit my order number and contact info which I submitted. Today is 2 weeks of that notice and still no contact. If that does change, I will make sure to update this post for everyone to see how customer service follows through… or not. Original review: I really wanted to love our Wonder Oven. One of the main reasons we chose it was the nontoxic stainless steel interior, and it seemed to check all the boxes for what we wanted in a countertop oven. We purchased it last June, received it in July, and have now owned it for approximately 13 months. Unfortunately, we started experiencing problems less than a year into owning it. At around the 10 month mark, the chime stopped working, so the oven would no longer alert us when the timer was finished. At first, we considered this a relatively minor inconvenience and continued using it. However, the problems have progressively gotten worse. The timer itself is now malfunctioning as well. It will reach zero minutes, but instead of shutting off as it should, the oven can continue running past zero. We have also experienced the oven shutting off and then unexpectedly turning itself back on. I have videos documenting these malfunctions and will be attaching them to their product review on their page. At this point, what started as a small inconvenience has become a genuine safety concern. An appliance that generates this much heat should reliably shut off when the timer reaches zero and, most importantly, should never unexpectedly turn itself back on after the cooking cycle has ended. Someone could easily assume the oven is off, walk away, leave the house, or have something sitting inside or on top of it without realizing that it has started heating again. What makes this especially disappointing is that otherwise, we genuinely loved our Wonder Oven. We love the design, the stainless steel interior, how it looks on our counter, and how well it fit our everyday cooking needs. We specifically invested in this oven because we thought we were purchasing a higher quality appliance that we could feel good about using for years. It is also such a shame because I have recommended the Wonder Oven to so many of my friends and family because of how much we initially liked ours. Now I feel like I need to go back and warn everyone I recommended it to about the malfunction we experienced and the potential safety concern. I understand that Our Place has since upgraded the Wonder Oven from the manual controls we purchased to a newer digital dial design, so perhaps this particular issue has been addressed in the newer version. However, based on our experience, I would personally still unplug the oven whenever it is not being used rather than simply trusting that it is off, especially after experiencing ours unexpectedly turn back on. For an oven at this price point, I did not expect to be shopping for a replacement after only about 13 months of normal household use. A chime failing is something I could live with. A timer failing to shut the oven off and an oven unexpectedly turning itself back on are things I cannot overlook. I really hope Our Place sees this review and resolves this safety malfunction because we would much rather have this issue properly resolved than give up on a product we otherwise genuinely enjoyed and recommended to others. Such a disappointing ending for an appliance we genuinely loved and wanted to continue using for years.
