Excellent Customer Agent, bad website w/charges
The customer service agent remained patient and polite throughout our long conversation. Rhona knew that I was dissatisfied with ordering on the website and made offers of credit on the McDerma website. The site makes solicitations that sound good but with the serum bottles, it makes it impossible to deny a subscription. I felt like I was being scammed. I got double-charged for the first arm device and the multi-light device and a free skincare membership with a hidden paid serum subscription that I didn’t want. I wanted to cancel the whole order and was offered credit to buy other items. I just wanted the upgraded device which I goggled to be half the price on Amazon. I also googled the reviews and found some positive on the device but negative on the website. You need to provide a selection that opts out of any additional bottles or vitamins. I felt I was being scammed and I told Rhona that. She finally offered me 50% off the device which I took. She was trained to make the offers to frustrated consumers but her patience, politeness, pleasant personality, and performance was natural in her. She spoke English well, loud enough and clearly for me, a retired ESL teacher. I have had many non-American customer service agents but she is one of the best speakers. She is qualified to perform any customer service position, even in the USA. Your website is the problem and it takes too long to listen and watch the whole video. If you don’t want more than one bottle, you can’t leave the page unless you make a selection or subscription. It keeps cycling and doesn’t allow you to checkout which caused me to be charged for the arm device and upgrade. If your serum and device is so effective and selling out, why do you have to trick me into spending more money? I already knew about light therapy for skin so I thought your device is legitimate despite your website. If it wasn’t for Rhona (5 stars), you would have lost the sale. Your website gets a bad review (-1 star).
