“My frustration with Lemonade Pet Insurance was simply trying to file a claim. The app wouldn't load on my phone. I was on hold and then when someone answered the call was dropped. Trying to sign in was a problem as well. The process was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating, and I was especially unhappy to learn that Lemonade has a 180-day deadline for submitting claims. Pet owners are already dealing with veterinary care, bills, and sometimes a sick animal; making the claims process cumbersome and then imposing a strict filing window does not feel customer-friendly. I expected an insurance company to make submitting a legitimate claim straightforward. My experience was the opposite.”
