This is how you treat someone with a new cancer diagnosis? I had thought TrimRx was a cost effective solution to the high cost of GLP-1 medication. I received my first 3 months of medication quickly and the instructions were easy to follow. My problem came at the end of the 3 months. I was asked to complete a follow up medical questionnaire. In the questionnaire I informed them of a new Prostate Cancer diagnosis. TrimRx unilaterally cancelled my subscription the day after my next shipment was scheduled. This took me by surprise as there was no attempt to follow up to get much needed information. I wrote the TrimRx doctor to inform him that after consulting with multiple specialists all agreed I should stay on the GLP-1 to lose more weight in preparation for surgical intervention. I made other arrangements and sent another message to TrimRx to ensure they did not mistake my follow up as a request to reconsider their cancellation. The following day TrimRx reactivated my subscription and billed me without reaching out to for approval. When I contacted them (no easy task) they said the prescription is being filled and they can’t cancel the shipment nor provide me a refund. I spent the next several days going back and forth trying to get this resolved but was told over and over there was no way to refund my money or stop the shipment. It wasn’t until I informed them that I would contact the California Attorney General’s office and file a complaint regarding illegal billing renewal that my money was refunded. I retuned their unopened package the same day. I received a message from them again today telling me they can’t refund my money even after the refund had already processed. Obviously their AI driven processes leave little room to ethically resolve errors of their own making. Having a cancer diagnosis is stressful enough, but this added a leave of stress I should never have been subjected too.
