A Fraudulent and Manipulative Experience
Reservations.com has no authority or ability to properly represent the hotels that they claim to be serving. I was confidently given completely made up and fraudulent rates and drastically overcharged. The person I spoke to on the phone did not identify themselves as a third-party. This is nothing short of deceptive and manipulative behavior. It was not until the tail end of the booking that I started to become aware that I was not actually talking to the hotel. At that point, I honestly should’ve hung up the phone. When the best resolution to the many issues that I faced was to cancel the booking so I can book directly with the hotel. It should tell you all you need to know about the value that reservations.com offers. This company serves absolutely no purpose and offers no tangible value in the sequence of events to book rooms or anything related to travel. They are nothing more than a needless and exploitative middleman in what should be a direct and straightforward process. The misrepresentation and negligence displayed by their sales person, and by this companies entire approach to operations is appalling and something that I will want to push against as hard as I’m able. If this review is being read by anyone of the general public looking to use these services, simply DO NOT proceed. Hang up the phone. Close the browser tab. Contact the hotel directly. If its review is being utilized internally, do yourselves and everyone else a favor and cease operations. I’m sure your time and talents would be far better utilized within a business that actually has something of value to offer. Stop wasting everyone’s time and money.
