Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed — I would not recommend Green Chef. I created an account, provided my credit card as required, and browsed some meal options. I did not place an order. A few days later, I discovered that Green Chef had charged my card and created an order for me with meals they selected themselves. The order even included pork, which I do not eat for religious reasons, and tilapia, which is one of the few fish I specifically dislike and would never have selected. When I called customer service, I was told that because my promotional period was ending, Green Chef selected meals for me and created the order automatically. I immediately asked them to cancel it, and they refused, saying it could no longer be modified or canceled. I find this business practice completely unacceptable. Having my credit card on file is not the same thing as giving a company permission to choose products for me, charge me for them, and then refuse to cancel when I call immediately. I am now disputing the charge with American Express. If you are considering Green Chef, be extremely careful when creating an account and providing your credit card information. Based on my experience, you may end up being charged for meals you never personally selected or intended to order. Terrible experience and a complete loss of trust in this company.
