Our group of 9 just completed a 13-day trip to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, organized by Isaac of Asia Odyssey Travel. This was our second trip with him, and once again, his customer service was consistent from start to finish. He was proactive about eVISAs, accommodations, and regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan went smoothly, with excellent airport transfers, hotels, and tour guides. Uzbekistan, was the reason for my 4-star rating. While the accommodations were good, the transportation and tour guides need to be improved. I believe a great tour guide needs more than just destination knowledge - they should have strong communication and people skills, flexible, and make the experience enjoyable for the group. Unfortunately, there were some coordination issues with the tour guides and drivers. At one point, half of the group almost missed their departure flight because the driver went to the wrong hotel. Thankfully, the airport was nearby. I appreciate that Isaac was responsive and quick to resolve issues. I, for one, choose Asia Odyssey Travel because of its flexibility and excellent customer service, and despite the challenges encountered in Uzbekistan, our group will continue to book our Asian travels with them. I hope my constructive feedback will help strengthen the coordination, communication, and guiding experience for future travelers.
