Misrepresentation of a product material, no accountability or recourse.
I ordered a garment that was described on their website as “stretch satin”. It arrived and the fabric label reads 100% polyester. It has zero stretch and is unusable as a result. There is no issue with the size I ordered or the quality. LightInTheBox misrepresented the article of clothing and refuses to issue a refund unless I pay to return to china and await a product inspection. Their “Strong recommendation”, to save my time and “potential deductions”, is to pay $20USD for a replacement that they will give no guarantee will be made of the correct material or keep the unusable item for a 60% refund. The item was “made to order” and cannot be returned according to LightintheBox, which I could accept if I actually received the item that I thought I was ordering. The item described to be made from a stretch material. I HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED A TICKET TO THEIR “CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM “, provided pictures of the garment, its packaging, still attached tags, product label listing the fabric content, and a video demonstrating that the fabric has no stretch. This article of clothing is for a performance and stretch is critical. I would never have ordered if the product description did not explicitly say “stretch satin”. LightInTheBox has no real customer service, only what I assume are AI generated responses. No phone number and no recourse or accountability for an issue that they are clearly responsible for.
