My wife and one child traveled on an Indigo flight for the first time on a connecting journey from Jeddah to Bangalore to Madurai. Upon arrival at 12:45 PM, they received information that the next Madurai flight was scheduled for 7:30 PM and were instructed to wait at gate number 37. My wife remained at the same gate until 7:00 PM. When I called my wife from Jeddah to confirm she was aboard the flight, she informed me that no one had notified them of any changes. I advised her to visit the counter to inquire about the flight status. The counter staff directed her to gate number 16. My wife proceeded to walk from gate 37 to gate 16 with our child. At 7:15 PM, they were informed that the gate had closed. They remained stranded with no subsequent flight information. Upon returning to the counter, they were told the flight had already departed. I was distressed to learn that all our luggage remained at the airport with them. After informing the manager of the situation, he arranged complimentary meals and booked my wife and child on a flight the following day. My wife and child endured more than 36 hours of waiting at the airport, which was an extremely poor experience. I will not travel with Indigo Airlines in the future and cannot recommend this airline to anyone.
