Very disappointing handling of an abuse complaint My VPS was suspended following a malware abuse report. I understand and fully support a hosting provider taking security and abuse reports seriously. However, my experience with their Trust & Safety process was extremely disappointing. I repeatedly offered to cooperate, investigate the issue, and remove any offending content. I also asked them to identify the specific content hosted on my VPS that caused the suspension so I could remediate it. Instead, I was told that the suspension decision was final and that no further review or discussion would be entertained. They also refused temporary or restricted server access for remediation. This was particularly disruptive because the VPS contained multiple legitimate websites and important data unrelated to the reported domain. To their credit, after I requested a way to recover my data, they did offer to assist with providing a server backup. I appreciate that option. My main criticism is therefore not that they investigate abuse reports — hosting providers absolutely should — but that the process offered very little opportunity for the customer to investigate, remediate, or meaningfully appeal the decision. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend keeping independent off-site backups if you use this provider.
