After our request
After hour request, for example on the East Coast I had to wait until 1:00 p.m. Saturday to speak to a live person in Vegas or Texas to discuss the order I created. No 24/7 service unless you create orders online.. After the order is updated on line you receive an email order, Republic giving permission to find an "outside contractor" and also the assigned contractor will call you during "normal business hours. Of course this is not mentioned, you must closely read the email stating it will be checked. However it would be checked in 4-5 days. The only way it could be done earlier was for me to do all the work, find someone available and make repairs, this is the permission for an outside contractor. A home warranty is fine for a little minor problems but when it's something big on the weekend you might as well throw your hands up and do it yourself, having a home warranty then is a waste of time and money. If I had known that I would have made calls Friday night when my unit broke down to find someone who worked after hours or Saturday. 92 degrees inside the home is not fun. Next you have to keep the ticket open until you get a receipt and mail it back for a refund, but your charged $110.00 anyway even knowing I found a repair person and paid them. To get refunded look forward to another 2+ hours on the phone to speak to someone What a joke to pay Republic $110.00 fee for "Republic to do absolutely nothing" except to assign a contractor to make repairs in 4-5 days. Overall what a waste of time and money. I will say the agent I spoke with Saturday contacted the contractor to verify my unit would be checked in 4 days. She was helpful and the only positive part of this complete waste of time. Overall, what a negative experience, waste of time and money.
