Be careful with custom duties
I recently purchased a painting and was very pleased with the pre-sales support and the overall purchasing process. Unfortunately, I was less satisfied with the after-sales experience, particularly regarding the shipment and delivery. I was initially informed that the artwork would be shipped from Poland, but it was in fact dispatched from Ukraine. In addition, I was advised that any DHL customs duties and taxes were included in the purchase price. However, I subsequently received an invoice from DHL requesting payment of these charges, which was both unexpected and disappointing. I have asked for clarification and hopefully this will be solved.
