NAME CHEAP CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD. They hook you in with an upfront lowball domain price. Then besides that RENEWALS cost 3 - 4 times as much, if you gave them your card number WATCH OUT. They will add all sorts of charges for services you specifically declined.. And even though you INFORM THEM that you never asked for a 'marketing suite'... and even though you go on your 'account' and select 'DO NOT RENEW'.. ..they will ignore you and 'renew' services that you never asked for.. charging your card upwards of 3 times what your 'cheap domain' cost. Another funny fact. they will RENEW what you DID order, inside of a MONTH of having purchsed the domain. Give them your credit card and NameCheap is OFF TO THE RACES!! No matter HOW MANY TIMES you tell them 'I DID NOT BUY A MARKETING SUITE'.. 'DO NOT CHARGE MY CARD'.. They will tell you to go into your account and select 'do not renew' (This being for something you never asked for).. so while they snicker in the background,. you dutifully open your account and select 'DO NOT RENEW'.. thinking it might actually have an effect. But the emails warning you of pending renewal charges continue. So you reply to those emails and REMIND Namecheat to NOT CHARGE YOUR CARD.. In reply they will ask for your log in information to verify - and around and around it goes - because no matter HOW many times you provide your login data.... on D (debit) Day, you look at your bank account and !VIOILA! - Namecheat went ahead and charged your card for the unrequested services and for the RENEWAL for your domain that you only just bought a month ago. Now, I'm throwing good time after bad having to dispute the charges, have my card cancelled, wait for a new one.. They're nothing but a bunch of crooks with their name as click bait. Be warned. UPDATE: August 1st, 2026.. Namecheap was laughing at my pleas to not charge my card.. they answered my emails with 'send us this'.. (I sent it - my login details) then the next email from them.. 'Send it again'. Now they sent me a reply to this review that I'm supposed to reply to them about. Here is my final answer: "IF they won't listen to Moses - they won't listen to one though he be raised from the dead." What does that mean? It means that if after a DOZEN back & forth emails they would IGNORE my entreaties to NOT charge my card illegitimately.. the window is closed. I have thrown ENOUGH good time after bad.. I will NOT reply again. They need to train their team better - starting with.. giving a shit about their customers. For my part, my bank will reverse the charges and I will move on from Namecheat permanently.
