Nofound no modification 40min after accidentally wrong date booking
The expedia app changed the my stay date when I closed the app to text my family to confirm the date. When I returned to the app I over looked the month and booked the hotel and I sent my brother a screenshot when he called me 30in later because booking was 35 days later. I called Expedia 10min after and I asked modify the date or cancel or refund or get expedia credits to use for other bookings. Initially they pretend to modify to the date I requested and according to them there were no availability unless I wanted to upgrade to rooms with fireplaces for twice the $$$. I said no! They pretended to call the hotel but could not reach anyone sounded odd to me and I called myself and hotel inform me that it has to be addressed through the Expedia since I booked these through expedia! I called back asked to modify to another date since it was booked one month early accidentally. This time they told me that they cannot even modify without the hotel’s approval. I am disgusted at this point, apparently the sent an email they are still awaiting the response since I called back 72 hours later as they suggested. I spent 2 hours on the phone again with a manager no modification no pertial refund for a booking that is a month from now? Asked me if I want to book anything else and cancel the $1,000 worth booking without any refund. Seriously? Who does that? Especially I called them to address the error 40 minutes after booking? This is zero regard for 16 people that are involved and zero regard for my time and $$$! I had it with Expedia!!!!!!! My 3rd called ended with an empty promise to wait until the hotel emailed them back! But two hours later they e-maled saying no refund will be issued if canceled with an entire month ahead I time! Un****believeable.
