Expedia Saved (and Improved) our Vacation!
Used Expedia to arrange two nights at a resort near Port Everglades, FL. Made reservations a few months ahead, but when got nearby, we called to see if we could come a little early and the proprietor indicated she didn't have a reservation for us. Called Expedia and they immediately refunded the money we had paid for that resort, then allowed us to use Expedia to arrange another resort and they would refund up to that same amount again to cover or defray the cost of the second one. We stayed in a magnificent resort (Lago Mar) we would never have been willing to afford normally. Expedia not only saved that part of our vacation, they made it even better. (It only took three days to receive the second refund in my bank account after emailing Expedia the receipts.)
