I used 240 for the TExES EC-6 content exams and the Science of Teaching Reading. The practice questions helped me prepare really well and I passed both exams on the first try. My lowest score was a 272, well above the 240 passing benchmark. 240 was the only resource I used and I would highly recommend it.

Great platform! I got a passing score on the PLT and Secondary Math Praxis test using this platform. Good value. Worth the money. Their system helped to breakdown standards into straightforward and step-by-step lessons. Their quizzes made it really easy to identify what subjects I need to work on most. Their questions represented the Praxis format well, so I was well prepared for the real thing. And their standards may have been more difficult, because I got better scores on the real Praxis than on their practice tests.

I used 240 tutoring to study for my Pearson FORT exam and I passed with a shocking 279 with a required 233 to pass in my state. Coming into 240 tutoring I knew absolutely nothing about the Foundations of Reading as I do not have a degree in education and am currently completing my alternative licensure. I went from literally zero knowledge (I didn't even know what vowel digraphs were!) to scoring in the top 5-10% of test takers on the real exam. The practice tests were the most valuable resource as it mimicked the real 100 question exam perfectly! I was able to score a 95% on the 100 question multiple choice portion on the real exam! I also used the essay strategies discussed in the 240 essay module and studied the essays I had already written for my 240 tutoring practice tests and this made the high stakes essay portion of the FORT a BREEZE! I couldn't recommend 240 tutoring enough!

You are locked into going through their courses prior to taking the practice test! It is all about their "Guarantee." You can't just go and take the practice tests. If you are in a tight time frame and were looking to take tests, this is not the product for you. My test is in two weeks, I just bought this for the practice tests. Now I have to do a ton of lessons in each of the four subtests so that I can take their practice tests? Likely going to have to purchase a Mometrix or someone else. I am sure it is not a bad program just not what I was looking for.

Customer service at 240 was very helpful to me and I appreciate the flexibility they showed throughout our communication. I felt some of the material & terminology was redundant, and some were very close in meaning yet different. As a result, I found myself researching information in avenues outside of the study guide which I had paid for! It would be helpful if there were various exercises besides flash cards to prevent confusion and actually master the course. Maps, diagrams, charts, etc to show similarities/differences in vocabulary and theories in the quizzes would be amazing. We are educators and we know we must accommodate for different test takers in our classroom. Thanks 240 tutoring!

I was initially unsure if the study materials were working for me, because there was so much to go over. However, when the exam came, my final score was a 280/300. This is not a good resource to help you actually learn. I legit took the PPR exam and failed twice. I’m redoing it again resigned up and notice I’m not the problem 240 tutoring is! It’s unorganized and topics all over the place. Talk about scope and sequencing needed for teachers to have effective lessons plans. They need the same! Choose someone else. If it was free then fine but it’s not.

I had been struggling to pass the FTCE exams and went through other tutors and study programs to pass the tests, but they never worked.
