1. The turnaround — handing over my tax data to receiving my tax return — was stunning. My return is complicated since it involves income (and losses) from partnerships, multiple equity and fixed income transactions, the necessity of completing the documentation for alternative minimum tax, and the timely reporting of Foreign Bank Accounts. 2. The accuracy. I have a morbid fear of submitting a tax return with errors or inaccuracies. Dealing with the IRS is a hellish nightmare, so having confidence that my tax return is accurate and absolutely professionally prepared in essential to me. The firm delivers 100% on this metric. 3. Responsiveness. American Tax Filings respond to me immediately, whether it is a question about what and how to report, use of the portal, or the derivation of numbers on the return. Absolutely top marks!

I recently worked with American Tax Filings for my SFOP submission to become compliant with my U.S. tax obligations, and the experience couldn’t have been better. As an expat who has lived almost my entire life outside of the USA, I had no idea I was required to report anything until very recently. Very Efficient and Clear
Bruno, the person doing my tax return, was very efficient, always gave quick responses, and his explanation of what I needed to submit to him in order to do his part was clear and easy to follow. Nowadays, a lot of interactions are Hi Tech and digital and sometimes difficult to follow but he always left an option for me to do the old standard ways which was less stressful for me. What usually took over a month to complete my tax return since I live in Japan only took a couple of weeks. Thank you.

Great experience with foreign-related tax amendments
I needed to amend several years of an obscure form, one of those gray areas where the requirements aren't entirely clear, but I wanted to be on the safe side. I reached out to many enrolled agents, accountants, and tax attorneys. Bruno stood out right away. He was responsive from our first conversation, stayed that way throughout the process, and has even been available after everything wrapped up. You don't see that very often. His attention to detail was great, and he made practical suggestions that cut down my workload.
