My MIL was talking to two different men, both looked AI generated and very similar. No background information could be verified despite very obvious, easy info given to my MIL should be easily checked out. All the red flags were present for manipulation-sad backstory (son’s suicide), he’s from Columbia (broken English), FaceTime would never work for some reason and then him trying to turn her against her adult children for asking too many questions.
