I was glad that Boat Ed covered all of the topics that it did, and the animations and video's were very helpful.
My son didn't rush getting through the course as it states study at your own pace, and when trying to complete it, it asked for more money saying the 90 days lapsed. It was never stated anywhere that there was a time limit (maybe the fine print if anyone is expected to read all terms and conditions to take a course...). Boat Ed refused to grant more time and is expecting payment. Worst service possible.
You used several modalities to convey information.
Absolutely terrible. Make sure you read the fine print. Terrible experience with hidden policies! I took the Boat-Ed course and was shocked to find outthat there’s a strict time limit to complete the course. This crucial detail was buried in the fine print, and when I missed the deadline, my account was blocked, and I was asked to pay the full course fee again just to continue. The company refused to offer any flexibility or understanding, insisting it was my problem. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service is appalling. I would strongly advise looking for alternatives unless you want to be hit with surprise fees.
While I do intend to get the Alabama Boating LIcense, the biggest reason that I took the course was to learn. And that I did. Not only did I learn the laws and rules of boating; much was focused on safety. It was worth the time that was needed to do this.
We had a great experience with this company renting a boat. The whole process went smoothly. We did a safety course before, to refresh all necessary rules of boating although we used to boat in the past. Jack was informative, he explained and walked us through boat and marked most of visible damages, referred where to go. Equipment Yamaha Hurricane good for 10 people. We were boating in 4.
Was easy to follow and was explained very well The videos showing people doing the tasks that were just taught, helped me to visualize better I would recommend Boat ED to friends and family
I learned quite a bit and feel more competent on the water.
Easy reading and good understanding..like the review guy
It was very very informative and a lot of knowledge great class
How quickly my information was to get concerning my boater safety class very easy access
I passed the boat-ed test for Ontario boating license online, I tried to download my temporary license card.I kept on getting Error in generating your license card. I called the Boat-ed agent but they could not solve the problem. They just asked me to wait a few days.
I felt the topics were relevant and to the point.
The course is not made to do on a phone exclusively. For the multiple choice video questions my phone didn't load the full screen so I couldn't select the right answer. So someone would need to have a PC to complete the course correctly. Otherwise I have no complaints.
Good morning, I thought that the course was wonderful. I especially loved the fact that you are able to take your time and learn at your Leasure. My first time on taking the test I had failed. I was able to go back study and retook the test. I passed!!!!!
