Reached out due to what I thought was a pin problem on my SA87. Josh was very helpful and exchanged several emails to help me diagnose the issue which turned out to be a XLR cable failure. Josh offered to replace the mic but ultimately figured out what was wrong.
I am so incredibly pleased with my DA FET47, as well as the customer service followup after my purchase. My mic arrived meticulously packaged for safe travels and in a beautiful wooden case. The FET47 has a significant weight and feels incredibly well made. But most importantly, it sounds AMAZING! This microphone has a velvety warmth that perfectly captures the articulate nuances of my vocals. The sound is incredibly dimensional; it provides a classic character that feels expensive and harmonically rich. The mid-forward nature of the DA-47fet ensures my vocals maintain transparency and depth. What impresses me most is the CONSISTENCY of the signal. I haven't had a single take clip or distort!!! Which really speaks to its high headroom. The frequency response is perfectly balanced...it provides a rich, dimensional depth without ever getting muddy, and a smooth, articulate top-end that never feels sharp or piercing. It just takes it ALL seemingly effortlessly. And this is all while running through a very clean preamp (2i2), so this is all purely the character of the DA FET47. As far as Dachman is concerned, I am very impressed with their efforts to make incredibly high quality microphones, like the DA FET47, available at a reasonable cost. For me, Dachman has been a game changer, and I look forward to expanding my Dachman microphone collection.
I'v been recording music for 45+ years. Cassette decks, reel to reels, 1/4 ", 1/2", 2", digital tape, DAW. One thing is clear, a good mic and preamp, pick your format, equals a good recording. Knowing gain stage and where to put the mic helps. This is a great miic. I bought the Telefunken EF 86 after I bought the mic and love it but, even with the Toug Sol it captured what you point it at well. I've worked with vintage 67's. They were all different sounding. So, to say this mic is a clone of a 67, well, which one? Does it have the vibe? Yes. Does it sound like a great mic? Yes. Would I buy it again? Without a doubt. I am very happy with this mic and would recommend it to my friends. And I have.

First and foremost, I have never written an endorsement of any product. I purchased the Dachman DA-67 microphone and have been using it for a little while. I purposely waited to write my review. This is a great microphone. If you can't get it done with this microphone, you just can't get it done. If you're on the fence, wondering if it's worth it, believe me it is. Also, if you're into the 67 sound this microphone has got you covered. Great job and craftsmanship.
I really like it. Nice and open sound for vocals. Thats what I normally use for.
This is my second Dachman. I use a specifically in the studio to record vocals with a client who was several times Nashville songwriter of the year. His voice is very nuanced, and the microphone captures all of that. I’ve used the Neuman version, and honestly, I can’t tell the difference. So I bought another one.

I’ve ordered the DA87i, the DA87se and the DA67. All mics came in before the estimated ship date. I can’t express how beautiful these mics sound. They have such great character and clarity respective to their basis. I would highly recommend Dachman audio! I can’t wait to see the company keep on flourishing for years to come. The 67 with old tube is very nice. I use it mainly on delicate female pop vocals. Sound, is outstanding. I own already an original U67. So I can compare…. You do really well!!! Delivery was flawless!!!
