The DataExpert bootcamps are amazing!

I joined and completed the free August bootcamp, and Zach really helped me with the basics to start my change to a data career. The explanations and labs are very helpful. Now I am working on the community bootcamp, and the experience has been great so far.

High Quality Content

Zack provides high-quality content and has a solid infrastructure. The way he explains concepts is simple, clear, and easy to follow, making it straightforward to put everything into practice. I enrolled in the free Bootcamp and was able to get hands-on experience easily.

In-depth content

I went from having basic knowledge to confidently building complex data pipelines. The hands-on projects were challenging but incredibly rewarding and gave me a portfolio I'm proud of. A huge thank you to the entire DataExpert.io team for their amazing support!

Zach is truly trying to teach here.

Zach is truly trying to teach here. While the course may not be beginner-friendly, it is very pragmatic, and I can see the value in learning things like the Cumulative Table Design and the surprisingly fun Array and Struct data types. His lectures on why data quality matters and the DQ framework he used at one of his companies really fleshes things out. I highly recommend any data engineer, regardless of their exposure, to give his courses a try.

Data Engineering is more mindset than toolss

Most bootcamps revolve around tools and features of their tools. This course goes a step ahead - not only does it cover the modern data tools/platform but it creates a mindset, a mindset which blends business challenges with technical expertise. You get to learn from Zach's challenges at work and why one approach works over the other.

No Fluff… Just Data Engineering!

For those who remember the "No Fluff Just Stuff" software conferences, Zach at DataExpert.io is pulling off a similar feat. Zach dives head-first into current data-engineering cases and patterns, dispensing the heavy textbook theory in favor of actionable guidance. The lectures are on-point, and go deep into the how and the why of the techniques being taught. Be prepared to pause the lectures a lot; he covers a lot of ground in each lecture. The techniques taught are more modern that the usual generalized examples in books. These are a great way to get some perspective on decades old problems at scale.

I am immensely grateful for what I’ve…

I am immensely grateful for what I’ve already learned from Zach and his team. I’ve applied aspects of my learnings so far at work and I’m not even done yet! I first started following by joining his subscription on Substack & eventually one of his bootcamps. I highly recommend and I look forward to continuing my journey and growth through his expertise and resources!

The Best Breakthrough into modern Data Engineering

I’ve been following DataExpert.io for a while, and it’s been invaluable in my pivot from software engineer to data engineer. The content surfaced gaps in my skills and helped me close them fast. It’s compact, practical, and rich with advanced SQL and data warehousing techniques. I’m still working through the community bootcamp, but the value is already clear
