When Divi5 was released, i thought how hard can making the change be!? I was quickly lost with all the changes that have been made between Divi4 and Divi5. Divilife's Divi 5 Expert course got me on track and removed all the uncertainty of moving to Divi 5. I now feel ready to start building sites with Divi 5 and migrating a few of my Divi 4 sites over. THe course was packed with information and well worth the money and time invested!
Great course. Tim is an awesome instructor, so personal and open. You learn a lot, even from his little mistakes -- as he backtracks to find the cause and explains what went wrong. I was struggling with the complexities of DIvi 5, and Tim's Divi 5 Export Class was a perfect route to unspool the changes and relate the new design system to my methods for using the Divi 4 builder. The course taught me a great way of looking at the new system and its opportunities.
Just completed the Divi 5 Expert course with Tim Stifler and DiviLife. The course was broken into manageable chunks, in a structured way so that even if you are new to Divi you can follow along with each session building on the one before. I was able to listen to Tim, watch what he did and also have another screen open and actively do the same on most occasions, which helped me really understand. I would recommend this course to anyone that really needs to get their head around the features that Divi 5 presents so that you can utilise the benefits properly. Without a course like this you really will spend hours trying to work it out yourself. For the investment this course is an absolute must, highly recommended.
Tim, thank you for this course, it was more than essential. I've already made a site using Divi 5, previously, but I made it as I would with Divi 4, not utilizing any of 5's capabilities. Without your course I would just miss out all the real values of this new version. So this course is a must for everyone who want to use Divi 5 as intended and not like it was just a newer update of Divi 4. Thanks Tim!
The Divi 5 course is suitable for both new Divi users and seasoned professionals - I'd say it was a 'must-do' course if you want to get the most out of Divi 5 in a short amount of time! Divi 5 looks so different from Divi 4, and has so many more possibilities but they're not obvious (or at least, to me!) so I was thrilled when Tim announced he was putting together a Divi 5 course. I felt very overwhelmed at the start of the course, but by going in-depth with each of the options/features, working through real examples in class with Tim, it really did start to make sense. And having the Divilife design framework to make the most of using Divi 5 Presets and Variables will help me immensely going forward. Tim's teaching style is relaxed and humorous, you get the benefit of Tim's wealth of knowledge and also the Q&A from other participants, who may the same questions as you. It's a great community to be part of, especially if you are working solo. I thoroughly recommend the Divi 5 course!
The Divilife Divi 5 course covered all the new Divi 5 features, including some released during the live course. The lessons were both entertaining and informative, giving enough detail of the more complex aspects, like FlexBox and Loop, and expanding on this in the ‘Coaching Calls’. The real revelation, though, was the Divilife ‘Framework, which uses the Divi 5 Presets and Variables to profoundly change the design process. Like many of the best ideas, this change in approach is obvious…. In hindsight, after these lessons.
As a beginner in web design and building websites, I had some experience with DiviLife products through the All-Access Pass. But circumstances had kept me from fully participating on the web. Then the Divi 5 Expert course was announced. Since the course provides insight into both the DiviLife approach to website design/building and the release of Divi 5, Elegant Themes' new whole website approach to design, it seemed like an ideal choice. During the course I experienced Tim Strifler's excellent approach to instruction. As a retired teacher, I know outstanding teaching when I experience it. In addition, my experience was echoed by other students in the chat. One of the best parts of the DiviLife Divi 5 Expert course with Tim Strifler is his approach to systems thinking. He excels at figuring out how to ease website design/building and efficient design refreshes. Overall, Tim's running of a live course proved enjoyable and felt like real life practice being demonstrated. Tim interactions with students proved especially helpful as questions website designers/builders asked led to insights about actual practice in the wild. I also appreciate his weekly Q&A sessions that anyone who has taken a course from him can attend. They are valuable because people get to ask questions about their upcoming projects, inquire about potential solutions to problems they are encountering, and ask about suggested fees for work their clients have requested. A caveat is that I was not fully prepared to follow all of Tim's suggestions in real time, either in my imagination or actual practice on my own Local site. However, Tim gave us room for personal improvement by recording the sessions so we can go back over his tips and techniques to attain mastery. I look forward to taking more DiviLife courses from Tim Strifler.
This Divi 5 Expert course provided me with a clear and well-structured overview of the new architecture behind Divi 5. At the same time, I received an in-depth explanation of key structural elements, such as the Divi 5 Design Framework with variables, option group presets, and element presets. We were also introduced to and got explanations of important new features like the Loop Builder, Nested Rows, and the Group Module. Finally, it gives valuable guidance on when to use the different CSS-based layout systems, such as Block, Flexbox, and Grid. Of course, you can use Divi 5 without fully understanding these features — but it’s a bit like driving a Ferrari and never shifting out of first gear. The Divi 5 Design Framework in particular is quite complex, and without this course, learning how to use it and truly understand its capabilities would have taken a great deal of time and effort — if I hadn’t abandoned it altogether. Last but not least: learning with Tim is genuinely fun. He is well prepared, authentic, and refreshingly honest. He takes every question seriously and comes back with indepth explanations when he thinks his answer may have been incomplete – which makes the whole learning experience both enjoyable and highly effective. In short, he‘s a role Model for a teacher. I wish my former university professors had taught at Tim‘s level.
Having used Divi for over a decade, the difference between using Divi 4 and Divi 5 is a bit like the difference between driving a regular mid range family car and a high-performance sports car; on one level they do the same thing, but it's a very different experience and requires an expanded set of knowledge and skills to do it properly! There are so many additions and improvements, that to master Divi 5 and get the most out of it (and to avoid some of the pitfalls), a course like this one is essential, and I can't recommend the Divi 5 Expert Course highly enough.
I chose DIVI Life's DIVI 5 Expert course for a variety of reasons. I've been using DIVI for 12+ years in my business, serving small businesses and larger non-profits. We help clients go deep into their digital marketing efforts. For select clients, we provide web design, development, training, and long-term maintenance. Plus, I use DIVI for my own websites. I've been watching the alpha/beta/launch of DIVI 5 and knew I needed to maximize my learning curve, so I spent some time evaluating DIVI 5 courses. I use several DIVI Life plugins, and I knew this would be a quality course delivered by an expert in DIVI. I especially liked this course structure, walking through the basics of the new DIVI 5 upgrade to the DIVI Life Design Framework and real-world use cases. Excellent nuggets from the Q&A sessions, and resources/solutions suggested by other DIVI users in the live chat.
As a long term web developer on the Divi 4 platform, I recommend the Divi Life Divi 5 Expert course to everyone who plans to continue (or start) building out websites with Divi 5. I know I will have saved many hours of "trying to work things out myself" from learning the things this course unveils. I now also have a much better awareness of the foundations, and how taking the time to lay them out well, will continue to save me many hours on every build henceforth. Moving from Divi 4 to Divi 5 has taken quite a brain shift. I know without this course, there is so much I would be doing wrong, or at least not doing in a way that will make the build so much easier. The format and structure of the course is well thought out. Each session building on the other. I found this layering of information really helpful for retaining and remembering everything. So - if you want to master Divi 5, produce well planned websites faster - my recommendation is to start here with the Divi 5 Expert Course.
Divi 5 Expert Course If you are coming from Divi 4 to Divi 5, this is a must-take course. Divi 5 is different in many ways, yet there is some familiarity if you are coming from Divi 4. However, those differences are different enough that it's not intuitive to use the new Divi 5 builder properly. This course points out those differences. This course will show you all of those small, nuanced differences and point out the "gotcha's" to look out for, especially when you are in the editor. It will show you how to ensure you are editing the correct module, row, and section, since there are no more pop-out editors. You need to rethink how you approach a new website build project from the very beginning. Knowing how to do this and setting up your build environment from the start will save countless hours of work when modifications are needed across the entire website later. This course shows the proper path on how you should start out your next website build with Divi 5. Not only do you get Tim's in-depth knowledge from the course, but you also get access to all of the Q&A questions from the live attendees, where they ask real-life, useful scenarios of implementation of using the builder from their own projects, and maybe you have those same questions. But you can't get those answers unless you take this course.
I loved the Divi Life Divi 5 Expert course. After building websites in Divi 4 for years, I’d found it hard to keep pace with all that’s new in Divi 5, but this course gave me a solid foundation and a big confidence boost. Tim Strifler is an excellent teacher. He covers a lot of ground without rushing, he’s flexible in his approach, and he’s responsive to questions from the live participants. The combination of variables and presets in Divi 5 provides a far more structured, maintainable, and more resilient toolset than we’ve had in Divi 4. After having completed the Divi 5 Expert course, I feel ready both to build sites from scratch and to migrate old sites.
The Divi 5 Expert course is invaluable! I had installed Divi5 on a new site as soon it was available, dove right in, and chased my tail in circles for a week. I clearly did not understand the new Divi 5 lingo, the relationship between variables, presets, and components, and how to use them in concert to build a site. Each lesson is built on the previously-covered info to develop a practical, hands-on understanding of not only how to use the new Divi, but also apply it in real-world settings to create solid, usable websites. Tim graciously offers tips all along the way to ensure your success with Divi 5, and shares tools that all web designers should have in their toolbox. Tim is generous with his knowledge and willingness to share. And the Divi Life Design Framework brings everything together as a useful foundation for jumpstarting website design. Just a few days after the final lesson, I started a new site with new confidence (and efficiency!), and easily converted a handful of sites to the new Divi. This course is worth every penny and minute spent, and then some.
I enjoyed the course immensely. Although I was unfortunately not able to attend all lessons during their sessions, even the recorded ones are very usefull. In itself I think I could have mastered Divi 5 myself, but only to the extent of knowing what button does what or what a certain function means. For me the added value was that during the course you also get tons of real life examples, plus - most important - you get to see how all things interact and are 'meant to be'. So instead of just using Divi 5 as an updated model of Divi 4, you get plenty of insights on where exactly the added value of Divi 5 is found, and how it affects your complete workflow of designing websites. Even with all this help I'm not completely there, but for sure I got an enormous headstart. Highly recommended!
When it's time to pull your machete and step into the jungle, it's best to follow a knowledgeable guide. Tim Strifler's leadership is sincere, genuine and comprehensive. DIVI 5 is a completely new tool that provides the user access to, and the responsibility for, granular control of what is crafted. That level of minutiae can quickly produce a jungle environment from the familiar ecosystem DIVI 4 asked you to navigate. In my case, a bit like being lost in what I thought was going to be my own back yard. Thank you, Tim.
I have recently completed the live Divi 5 course. It was fun and real. It is broken down into logical sections. This was a great course overall, packed with valuable information in a short amount of time. It’s something I will revisit more than once to fully absorb everything, as well as review the updates. It will also serve as an excellent ongoing resource for improving and refining my web design skills. Definitely worth the time and money. I recommend this course to those who will be migrating from divi 4 to divi 5 or just starting with divi.
Tim’s style of teaching just works! He explains everything in terms I think that everyone will understand The content is concise and I never got lost once. I don’t think that there was a stone left unturned and it makes me want to keep a watch out for future course. I have been through Tim’s speed pro and divi5 expert course now and loved both
Tim has the patience necessary when training a diverse group who have various skill levels. Divi 5 has so many new features, including a different interface, so every step of the way we learned new ways to use our new Divi. I have really enjoyed the Divi 5 Expert course. This is the first course from Divi Life that I've taken, and I've loved the format of live calls, with recordings available. The live calls made it feel much more accessible, with the ability to ask relevant questions at the time and to receive knowledgeable answers, not just from Tim, but from other course students in the chat. Tim's Divi knowledge is exceptional, and the mix of theory slides and then visual demonstrations was great, as I am a very visual learner, and I was able to follow along and play with my own Divi 5 setup as we went along. I now feel I have a decent understanding of Divi 5: how it differs from Divi 4, how to set up my design system, how flex and grid layouts work, what loops are and how to build them, and how I can use canvases. The lesson on migration was invaluable, and I now have the confidence to try migrating a simple site to Divi 5 to see how it goes before I move on to more complex sites. Even as an experienced Divi 4 user, I admit I felt a little intimidated by making the move to Divi 5, but, thanks to this course, I feel much more confident, and, dare I say it, excited to get going on my Divi 5 journey!
