Received damaged bottle. Can’t even get company to respond when I’m asking them to set aside a non damaged bottle when they want this one returned before shipping a new one. I do want to come back and add to this after the response from El Cerrito. I have purchased multiple expensive bottles from this company. I always purchase the shipping insurance. One of the times the bottle was damaged in transport and arrives soaking wet. It was refused and sent back and a replacement was shipped out immediately. This was obviously due to a shipping insurance and the money was covered. This time the bottle was sent out this way. The paint/design on the Mascota Bulldog bottle is chipped in numerous places but appear to be before the shiny topcoat sealant was applied. You can also hear rattling inside of the bottle. When I reached out I offered to try to send the bottle back if they sent me a replacement but I expressed my concerns about an already damaged bottle making it back in one piece. They are advertising that this limited edition bottle is gone when it’s gone, yet they will not ship out a new one until they get the old one back and they told me they “are looking into it” just like this response says, but nobody is getting back to me. The tell me not to worry about one of these limited edition bottles not being available, yet when they refuse to send me a new one until they get the old one back because “the cost isn’t covered by the manufacturer until they have the bottle back,” I can’t even get them to respond when I asked if they would go find one that is still in stock, inspect it to make sure it’s not damaged and set it aside for me before I go through the hassle of trying to send this broken one back to them. This was a gift that I purchased for a friend’s birthday. Their products always ship quickly. This one shipped after it said it would ship and it arrived damaged. This is not the first but the second bottle that I have received that was very obviously chipped during the production phase. I didn’t mention the first one because I could hide it and that is stupid because they unbox these bottles and wrap them securely to ship them so there is no possible way that they didn’t know about the damaged bottles being sent out in that condition. I now have (2) $200-$300 damaged bottle and I am dealing with a company who cares more about their manufacturer refund than my damaged purchase that obviously couldn’t be a gift for my friend. I’m not trying to get something for free, but at the end of the day, I am now stuck with a bottle that was very clearly knowingly sent out in this condition and I am stuck eating the cost. I sent 5 pictures of the places where the paint is chipped. What do they need a video where you can hear the rattling inside of the bottle? It’s borderline crazy that I’m supposed to try to package a damaged bottle that comes wrapped in paper in a giant box, drive it to a fed ex store and then wait for them to get it back and inspect it before I get what I paid for.
