After doing a ton of research, my daughter did Enlightium for 8th-12th grade. For us, it was the best option for the time of life. She is the 4th of 4 kids, and I wish I would have researched other options outside of public school for them, but she is the only one that got to do school at home. For 5 years, she was able to do her work when and where she wanted to. She had a ton of extra time to work on things she enjoyed, including art and writing. She loved the peace and quiet and the lack of rigid schedules and HS drama. She wasn't one to contact teachers much, but we didn't have issues when she did. Advisors were always helpful and we received timely assistence from any department, concerning financial, curriculum, or otherwise. We had tragic life circumstances happen in our family a few years ago, and public HS would not have been what she needed. We were blessed to have the flexibility for schooling and time for healing. This is a great option for many, esp if you don't want the burden of curriculum or keeping records or actual teaching. Having a child that is self aware and accountable is a huge benefit. I never had to be on her case about doing her work. Again, due to our circumstances, I couldn't have done it by myself at the time, so this form of education was a blessing. I don't agree with 100% of the curriculum, but unless I did 100% of the teaching, that will be the case anywhere we chose. For that reason, I took one star off, because if I had a do-over, I would homeschool all my kids at home, without one specific source and let them learn more real-world skills and travel and less actual curriculum. That's the perfect scenario, but life isn't perfect. For our purposes, this was what fit best for our needs. Overall, this was a fantastic option for her and for me and we have no regrets for choosing it. I would highly recommend it to others looking for a change from public school.

It’s a wonderful place to learn. In our years there it was very rewarding experience. I love how they learned about the Bible daily. You can’t get that at a public school. I also felt like we were in a safe environment. Thank you for this.
Enlightium Academy was a fantastic experience for myself and especially for my son! In the three years leading up to his graduation, he learned so much academically, but also learned so much about personal responsibility. He managed all of his schoolwork on his own, and grew so much into a responsible young man. I highly recommend this school.
I am incredibly grateful the Lord provided Enlightium Academy for my daughter’s high school education. Prior to her enrollment, my family never homeschooled before, so I was quite worried and stressed on what to do and the choices we should make. After much research and prayer, God’s answer for us was Enlightium Academy. The teachers, staff, and counselors were knowledgeable and professional in their respective duties and responsibilities. Moreover, the Christian values and beliefs taught in the school’s curriculum was very important to us. There are various activities and clubs for students to join and the support we received, especially for her senior year, was exceptional. My daughter graduated this year and we’re thrilled to share that she was accepted into her top choice for college! Our experience with Enlightium Academy was truly a blessing and a great success!
I like that the students have a chance to work at their own pace but my daughter said it's just too much work and projects..... once she work on the project she gets behind three or four assignments.....this happens throughout the yr.

We'd like to clarify that students may start their project as soon as they enter the unit, giving them the full duration of that unit (usually about a month) to complete it alongside other coursework, rather than waiting until other assignments are done first. Enlightium Academy is a great Christian online school!
I love that Enlightium Academy not only provides my kids with a sound Christian based curriculum, but it also gives them a variety of online and offline electives and a sense of community via monthly chapel and Bible study every two weeks.
I appreciate the way the school treats their students. They make sure students preform to their full potential.

Absolutely excellent we’ve had my son…
Absolutely excellent we’ve had my son in there for the majority of his high school career and it has been amazing. Excellent staff great curriculum.
I very much appreciate the biblical curriculum and flexibility with the schedule. The courses offered are good, though I do wish there were a couple specific ones offered that are not.... The main one being ASL.
My issues come in when it comes to credits for classes previously taken. My daughter took 3 years of highschool level Latin before starting Enlightium, but only one was counted toward her 3 years of one world language because she was technically in middle school when she took them. Additionally, I have issues with some of the grading practices and lack of prompt response when we pay extra to get more expedited responses from teachers. Lastly, the language courses are flawed. Spanish was very difficult when it came to the recordings she was to translate or respond to. I took 9 years of Spanish and have much experience in spanish speaking environments and I still could not decipher some of the fast, mumbled speech in those recordings. For 1st year of spanish, it should be slowed way down and enunciated. With French, there have been multiple times that my daughter has recorded herself and the teacher said she didn't say things she did say or that it wasn't clear who was speaking or something, when it was in fact very apparent and clear. Maybe the accent could've been better or the grammar wasn't perfect, but the other things were there.

The faculty is always been there for me and my son. He started in 6th grade and Lord willing he will be graduating next year from high school through Enlightium.
