I use the Fishbox App everyday. It’s my go to source among the 3 fishing apps I have. The data (98%) is usually spot on, however there have been rare occasions where it presents incorrect information or no data at all. Example: it reflected Celsius temps vs Fahrenheit on some lakes. I would have scored Fishbox a 5 plus if not for these issues. The Customer Service, however is the Best. On the few times I contacted Fishbox, I was notified within minutes that the issue was being addressed Mike and Steve are truly assets to the company. They listened to my concerns, informed me of the actions and provided timely feedback along with the resolve. I didn’t expect the responsive and Professional service they present. Very Impressive. This app is really great especially the free version. Most other fishing app have free versions, but they are terrible and doesn’t really help you become a better angler unlike fishbox.

The App is great. Can’t fault it. I’m a newbie to fishing but love it, as do all of my four kids ranging from 6 to 15 years of age, The App enables me to quickly find new reliable fishing sites here on the Goldie, when we take Tinny over to straddie or up to the Sunny Cost, all on QLD. Still playing around with it as I’m doing the free trial. When it finishes I’ll look at prices and stuff.

So I had issues with a subscription I didn’t know I had, but I was able to email their support, and they responded really quickly, and even had an employee named Steve find the problem and canceled it.

The app works great for me. I usually have limited time to go fishing after work. Using the app really helps me not to guess where to go to fish. I pull up the app and I can find spots to fish right way.

One step above out and out spam. The site showed up in a targeted Google Alert, and directed me to a fishing spot in the middle of a 200 square mile private timberland holding. Mmm...sounds like these hot fishing tips are being generated by AI.

Fishbox uses data from anglers and external providers, and we’re actively working to verify locations, mark access restrictions more clearly, and improve the accuracy of our maps and fishing spots. We’re also preparing a major update that will introduce one of our most requested features — fish species information for fishing spots. Alongside this, we’re improving the map and spot data so the information is as accurate and useful as possible. I use this app for all my fishing spots and good fishing tips and times. The ONLY thing i don’t like is that you must pay for more amenities. But this app is great for fishing and casting times, fishing spots and tips.

Used a lot of different fishing apps and Fishbox, even the free version, is one of the, if not the best fishing app I’ve ever used. As of June 2025, Fishbox is the only fishing app on my phone. Its information and tips are incredibly accurate and helpful for amateurs and pros alike. Strongly recommended!! 100% won’t regret it.

I love how easy it is to use this app. It tells you wind direction/speed. What negative factors from the weather or moon phase that might hinder a good fishing trip. The more my husband and I go out and fish, we may eventually buy a subscription but right now, the free version does us alright.

I'm really excited with community and challenges in this app. It makes feel more “alive” and adds a little extra motivation every time I'm fishing. Also like being able to see what other people are doing there, it turns a regular trip into something a bit more fun 👍 hope to see more features in this area
