I have used FishingBooker for several years and have generally had positive experiences. Unfortunately, my most recent experience (6 June 2026) was disappointing. I reserved an eight hour bottom fishing trip for nine people months (14 December 2025) in advance and paid a deposit ($249.00) to secure the reservation. Several members of our group traveled long distances to participate. About a week (1 June 2026) before the trip, I contacted the captain to confirm that everything was still on schedule, but I received no response. At approximately 9:00 p.m. the night (5 June 2026) before the trip, I received notice that the charter had been canceled without any explanation. Although my deposit was refunded, the short notice made it impossible to find another charter capable of accommodating a group of nine. Many members of our group were understandably disappointed after investing significant time and travel expenses to attend. I want to recognize FishingBooker’s customer service team, especially Lela, for taking the time to discuss the situation with me. FishingBooker acknowledged the inconvenience, promptly refunded my deposit, and issued a $125.00 cashback credit valid through June 10, 2027, as a gesture of goodwill. While no credit can replace the experience that was lost, I appreciate their effort to make things right and their professional handling of the matter. My experience with the charter operator was frustrating, but my experience with FishingBooker’s customer support was positive. I hope stronger standards for communication and accountability can help prevent similar situations for future customers.

Have used Fishingbooker.com twice now and its a great service. Can easily find great guides and trips, book and communicate with the guide and get an idea of what we will catch and experience. Both trips were awesome. And even got a loyalty discount on the second trip. Don't waste time trying to identify respectable, good guides in your own. Fishingbooker makes it just to easy and convenient with its reviews, pics, guarantees, cancelation policy and communication. Cannot recommend them more highly.
Very experienced Captain!!
Every time I messaged Captain Joe he responded very quickly. He also called a day before our charter and offered to start an hour earlier because the flies were starting to hatch. This helped us nearly make our quota because one the flies start coming up the fish stop biting. Captain Joe was very knowledgeable about the area. He was able to find good areas where there were lots of fish. All in all Great trip, our party of 4 had an Awesome time, definitely will book his charter again.

This platform does not show the best captains for customer selection, it shows customers the captains that pay fishbooker the most money. I would not advise any captain to use this platform.

Pierre worked so well with the experienced and the inexperienced of our group! Our fishing time was extra exciting because he knew where all the honey holes were. He is the best!
Amazing Fishing trip on the Balihoo Cancun
The captain and mate on the Balihoo in Cancun were absolutely amazing. The boat was clean and rods and reels worked great. We had fish on and tight lines from 10 minutes into our trip until the end. We even had several double hook ups. They made every minute count, and talked us through every catch. We had fabulous experience. Chris and Debbie May 2026

Book a trip with a captain in Costa…
Book a trip with a captain in Costa Rica. After trying to reach the captain with questions for 2 months with no response, I wanted to cancel the reservation as we did not feel comfortable proceeding with the reservation as we did not know what time or where to meet the captain since we were planning our trip. I attempted to cancel the reservation and Fishing Booker said I violated the captains deposit return policy even though the captain never contacted me. They are a scam, avoid.

Great experience!
No hassle. Easy to use. Was able to directly communicate with the captian about the local current weather conditions and updates. Will absolutely use Fishing Booker for all my future fishing trips that I need a guide for!
Customer wants to cancel
Customer wants to cancel, violating policy. But the only options were to deny or accept, no middle . I don’t want to steal a persons money, but there should be some compensation for a cancellation besides all or nothing
