I enjoyed the relationship between coaches and students and the encouragement from peers. The instruction was great each coach had their own way of presenting the material. Sometimes you receive material in a different way and understand better. The two different styles compliment each other. I truly enjoyed the classes. The practice sessions guided and practice buddy system was great. I love the fellowship, it is truly a family.
A very supportive community. Very encouraging and more than enough to keep you on your toes. It gives you a serious upgrade in your musicianship. Excellent program.
This program provides clear, easy-to-follow instruction and practical techniques that are simple to apply. The recorded classes make it convenient to revisit lessons, catch up on any missed content, and reinforce what you've learned at your own pace.
This is the best music program around.. they have great coaches and staff to ensure your success. I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to learn how to play music by ear.
I don't understand anything about your program you never communicate with me and you took money from my account.

HI Hermante, thank you for your review. As we replied personally to you, we sent no less than a dozen welcome and getting started e-mails and text messages per the screenshots. These were aimed at getting you to log in and take the tour. Upon receiving your cancellation and refund request, we sent refund as well, which should have been reflected in your account. Those who have come into our universe will know communication, of all things, is nothing we take lightly. If anything, we overcommunicate. I'm sure this was a matter of technology and spam filters preventing what could have been an amazing musical journey. Thank you for giving it a try.

My experience with Hear and Play Music…
My experience with Hear and Play Music has been great! The teaching coaches are great and care about the students. There are multiple opportunities to learn, practice, play and attend classes.
I began this program in June of 2022. My wife died in July of 2022. The first year in the program redirected my energy and helped me deal with the grief. I also was able to move closer to the musical goals that led me to join the program in the first place: improve me ear and learn the language of gospel music, specifically gospel piano. October 23rd of 2023, I became a coach for the program. That does reflect how much I believe in this program and the methods I have found here. Anyone who wants to improve musically can do so here. It is a lot of work, but it is also exciting, fun, and the participants are genuinely friendly. Check us out!
At Hear And Play I didn't believe in the slogan (if you can hear it, you can play it) sounds like it's too good to be true, In this program I am a believer, I'm using my ears more than relying on sheet music. My progress is slow, however, I'm better than when I started. Having the replays of class is a tremendous tool, it helps me to stay focus and want too keep going. I stop doubting myself because I've never been a quitter.

Great method of teaching
Great method of teaching, loved all the way. Very knowledgeable, effective instruction and practically easy to follow. It was amazing to see the students of all different ages and all of them seem to have learned efficiently.
Great coaching + encouraging community, inspires consistency.
First and foremost Hear and Play has phenomenal teachers/ coaches. They provide clear instructions and willing to give time to thoroughly answer questions. Their positive approach is reflected in the community spaces as well which encourage novice like me to keep trying.
Hear and play and Gospel Music Training center is great for all piano players at all levels. I have learned and I'm continuing to learn so much as I master the skills of playing a piano, with confidence fluently! Thank you!
"Seasoned" would-be Musicians May Need to Slow it Down!! But just remember, Hear & Play is Always here to help!
Everyone seems to really care about you and if they're being helpful. Playing by ear is not easy and using Chords, Progression, Diminished, Circle of Fifths, Seventh, learning to Modulate (play in different keys), etc is downright confusing at times. I think that most of us (students) are trying to learn, or trying to play more skillfully, because we want to play Gospel music for a Church, Group, etc. The Music Theory and all the other Stuff and the over 100 chords is Overwhelming for some of us - especially, if you're elderly. Trying to Remember so much, in a record amount of time, so that one can be a decent Musician is more than a thought - or desire. I feel that Hear & Play does the best that they can; given that no 2 people comprehend or learn in the same way - nor at the same pace. They have old instructional and newer instructions. The newer ones are an improvement, which goes to show that GMTC is trying to meet the needs of their students and trying to use "Tried & True methods" that will help us get Up & Running as soon as possible. Personally, I might get stuck every now and then, but there's ALWAYS someone whose more than willing to help.
HI Caren, thanks for your review. As you joined our Gospel Music Training Center ($1 for first 30 days), the monthly fee is $37, which is automated. We have no option of joining our site for the $1 trial without agreeing to the monthly aspect. With that said, we offer easy cancellation from within the platform with one click.
I have gone ahead and refunded you July's monthly payment. Please note, GMTC is a subscription, similar to netflix, hulu, or any streaming service. Thanks for giving it a try.
I’m not up to date on the number system and the scale. Hear and Play Music provide all the information and details to help me understand what to do to become a better musician.
They start you from ground zero. But there's so many resources on the one platform to learn at your own pace and to focus on what interests you.

So far solid experience
So far, the gospel 100 course is very good for structure. If I was complete beginner, I would be a little lost. You’re are not walked through every key for arpeggios and blocked or broken chords. I wish there was a video breaking the fingering for each key and specific road map for beginners, intermediate, or advanced. Some of the other courses need to be updated (not able to see clearly what’s being played due to technology limitations when video was made). The instruction is very good overall! Would like to see more song tutorials and more courses helping you to improve your ear. The softwares are good and definitely a great tool for ear training and transcribing. Great value for to price that was offered for lifetime membership.
I'm a newbie. So far I can say that I appreciate the full explanations of everything in the videos, the practice aids/pdf's, the patience and enthusiasm of the teachers. I'm very glad I'm here.
