I started using Magoosh while preparing…

I started using Magoosh while preparing for the TOEFL because I felt stuck. I wasn’t completely lost, but my practice answers were inconsistent, and I often couldn’t explain *why* an answer was right or wrong. That uncertainty was stressing me out more than the test itself. What helped me most was the way Magoosh breaks down logic, especially for reading and listening. Instead of just giving answers, the explanations train you to think the way the test expects. Over time, I noticed I was spending less energy guessing and more time actually understanding the passage structure, signal words, and traps. I also liked that the study experience felt flexible. Some days I had energy for full practice sets, other days I just watched a few short videos or reviewed explanations. Either way, I still felt I was moving forward instead of spinning in circles.

Thank you to Magosh!

Thank you to Magosh! I really appreciate their effort. The Speaking and Writing sections are strong and excellent—probably the best. However, the Listening section might not suit everyone and can be harder than the real test. The Reading section is okay—nothing too difficult, but still somewhat helpful.

I had a wonderful time using magoosh

I had a wonderful time using magoosh. The Quant instructors were amazing and helped me rediscover my love for Math. Each concept was broken down into such bite sized wonderful chunks. I managed beat all expectations I had and score 165 in Quant. Shoutout to all the teachers who make Magoosh really enjoyable.

Superb

The Qs bank is great; the way Magoosh tries to find out the answer in the shortest manner possible is impressive; the lessons are very elaborate; the analytics are awesome. However the Study Plans need to be worked on. The Study Plans become confusing and mind boggling at times, as these Plans skip many an important lessons.

Good enough to make it your main study resource

great video explanations, and honestly most helpful having a guide that structures review + a way to review past mistakes. Without a combo of all the three, your GRE study can go off the rails pretty easily I've taken the GRE three times now. Generally the math questions on Magoosh are about the same level of difficulty as the GRE, maybe slightly slightly easier. But that's likely just because the GRE might word questions slightly different that how Magoosh does, which might throw you off Magoosh's verbs; questions are definitely harder than the GRE's. I've consistently scored between 162-167 on my GRE's, yet hit 160's high 150's in Magoosh practice
