They charge and close the account, retaining the money for 10 days.
Extremely bad because I simply registered, did the whole test, sent a single test email to my email address, and as soon as I paid to move to production, they blocked me and are holding my money for 10 business days, knowing that I paid and blocking me immediately. If there was a security detection, why don't they tell me what it is, or why didn't they block me before I paid if I took several days to open the account?

Hi there Santiago, Sinch Mailgun does not hold any customer's money due to being disabled. Any refund we issue is processed immediately. The process from the payment processing company can take up to 10 business days until you see the money in your account. Hope this clear up any confusion.
Were suddenly imposed with a sending limit, while we only respond to received e-mails. This did cost us business.
Mailgun was like: yeah, automatic process nothing we can do about it.

Hi there Nick, yes we do impose sending limits until our internal business verification process is completed and verified. Once this is done, you can send as much as you'd like. Have a wonderful week.

We use Mailgun for transactional emails on our online platform.
Recently we experienced a temporary delivery issue to Microsoft (Hotmail/Outlook) due to a shared IP block. The support team responded quickly, rotated our sending IP, and the issue was immediately resolved.
Fast, clear and solution-oriented support. Very satisfied.

Thanks for kind words and sorry about the delivery issue. Thanks for choosing Sinch Mailgun!
Responsive, professional support with quick resolution
We recently experienced an automated compliance suspension during an SMTP integration test. Mailgun’s compliance team reached out promptly with clear details about the flagged activity, including the sending key, domain, IP, and sample message.
After we provided clarification, the issue was reviewed and resolved quickly. The communication was professional, direct, and efficient throughout the process.
What stood out most was:
• Fast human response (not just automated replies)
• Clear explanation of the concern
• Fair review process
• Swift reactivation once clarified
As a company building infrastructure-level systems, reliable email delivery and responsive support are extremely important to us. This experience gave us confidence in Mailgun’s monitoring and compliance standards, as well as their willingness to work constructively with customers.
Overall, very satisfied with the support experience.

Initially, it took a while for the first-level support to understand my need. Once I escalated to the second level, it was very quick and efficient.

The worst support system they have.
If you want to see the world's worst and worstest support system, you should check their support system. You will open a ticket, and they will reply after 48 hrs min. I just wonder why they have the support system, even.

Terrible experience.
Terrible experience.
The system blocked my phone verification with a “Too many activation codes requested” message, and now I can’t activate my account at all.
Support is slow and provides no real solution. Instead of helping resolve the issue, they leave customers stuck. I did not abuse the sms code, i asked once but it's showed "Too many activation codes requested"
Very disappointing.

I opened a ticket about a programming issue, and Merit responded. He was very helpful and brief on the matter.

Mailgun offers a simple to use SMTP server that we use to send customer e-mails regarding credit card declines, periodic reports, etc. It is reasonably priced, and so far, we have had no real issues with it.

Strong support experience and a solid transactional email platform 👍
We’ve been using Mailgun for several years for transactional emails, and overall the platform has been very reliable.
Recently, we ran into a deliverability issue specifically with Microsoft domains (Outlook, Hotmail, Live, MSN), which was new for us and impacted our customers. The Mailgun support team was responsive, patient, and thorough throughout the process. They helped us understand what was happening, guided us through setting up a proper PTR record, and clearly explained the steps required to work with Microsoft on delisting.
Once the delisting was completed, the results were immediate. Email failures dropped significantly and delivery has been stable again since then.
Special thanks to the support agents for their clear explanations, practical guidance, and follow-up until the issue was fully resolved. Complex email deliverability topics were handled in a very approachable way, which we really appreciated.
Overall, a strong support experience and a solid transactional email platform 👍

Hey thanks Francis, much appreciated. Let us know if there is anything else we can do and thanks for choosing Sinch Mailgun.
Very frustrating experience due to an unnecessarily long and inefficient process.
My account access was removed without warning, and instead of applying a simple restriction or allowing me to manage my own domains, I was forced into a multi-step verification process just to reclaim a domain I already own. What should have been a straightforward fix turned into avoidable downtime, extra effort, and delays.
The entire situation could have been handled far more sensibly with minimal disruption. For a platform that’s supposed to support critical infrastructure, this level of friction is disappointing.

Hi there Jitin, Sinch Mailgun takes account security very serious as you stated is used for many of our customer's critical infrastructure. Hopefully this will not occur again in the future for you. Have a wonderful weekend.
