OneUp Trader is one of the oldest futures prop firms in the market. I've been trading with them for almost 2 years now and I've never encountered any issues. They operate on a very traditional evaluation. No frills. If you reach a payout, you will be paid.

Most of the customer support reps have been courteous and helpful and you don't have to wait long to speak with a live human about anything you need help with. In that department, OneUp is doing a great job. The evaluation program is designed nicely with helpful analytics. I had 3 funded accounts with MES Capital, the funding partner that works with OneUp. I had traded very well and earned a 6K payout. When I had put in the payout request, I was told I briefly went over my allotted amount of micros I was permitted and that they were not only denying my payout but then also immediately terminating all 3 accounts. I had gone over only once on these accounts and do own that I did this and take responsibility for that I accidentally did that. I felt very disappointed in this response and thought there were much, much better ways for a prop firm to respond to this. It felt to me like a very convenient way to avoid having to pay a trader that performed really well. I'm going to focus my attention more on firms that treat this as a soft breach and are more proactive in helping you not accidentally go over your micro limit. I think it's important for prop firms to try and bring out the best in traders and helping them succeed. With MES Captial, I personally did not feel this way at all. I hope other traders don't have a similar experience as I had.

We understand how disappointing it must have been to lose your funded accounts, especially after all the effort you put into your trading. However, after carefully reviewing your case with the funding partner, it was confirmed that your funded accounts violated the Dynamic Scaling Rule. As stated in the funding agreement and on our website, all funded traders are required to follow this rule at all times. A breach of the Dynamic Scaling Rule results in the immediate termination of the funded account, regardless of whether it occurs once or multiple times. Additionally, you have received a warning for a previous rule violation in the past and this is your second strike, which has resulted in the termination of your accounts. You exceeded the maximum permitted position size on all three funded accounts. Whether the excess was by one micro contract or ten full contracts does not change the fact that the Dynamic Scaling Rule was breached. You have successfully received multiple payouts in the past without any issues because your account was in full compliance. That is how the process is meant to work. Great onboarding, easy to buy an account. Payment is divided on two parts so no need to pay the whole amount in advance. Great dashboard shows actual state of the evaluation. Support is always helpful.

10 min trading days in evaluation which is extremely long, no 10:1 micro scaling in evaluation, makes it difficult to access account, should just give tradeovate/ninjatrader login instead of all the extra stuff.

We completely understand your concern about the 10 minimum trading days during the Evaluation. That said, this requirement is part of the Evaluation rules and is in place for all traders. It was actually 15 minimum trading days before, but we reduced it to 10 based on customer feedback to make the Evaluation more flexible while still keeping the process fair for everyone. Regarding micro contracts, during the Evaluation, each micro contract counts the same as one standard contract. While 10:1 micro scaling isn't available at this stage, it is a feature you can request once you're on a Funded Trading account.
