What you are describing, the drowsiness, disorientation, and heightened sensitivity to noise and movement, is actually a strong indicator that the current dosage may be too high for your dogs. CBD affects every pet differently, and some are significantly more sensitive to it than others. The goal is never to sedate but to bring a calm, grounded sense of ease, and it sounds like we need to dial things back to find that sweet spot for your pups. Here are a few things I would love for you to try: Reduce the dosage immediately. Start at about half of what you are currently giving and stay at that level for at least a week before making any further changes. A lower dose may actually produce far better and more natural results. Check the method of administration. If you are mixing it into food, absorption can be inconsistent. Applying it directly to the gums or the soft skin of the inner ear allows for much more controlled and predictable absorption into the bloodstream. Timing matters too. Administering after a meal rather than on an empty stomach can help reduce the intensity of the effects. I would love to personally help you work through this and find the right dosage and routine for each of your dogs.
