So far I've been studying in the Texas Swing fiddle course and advanced bluegrass fiddle course. Chad Manning is a great teacher and though I've been playing awhile I am learning a lot. I highly recommend these courses if you want to be challenged and continue progressing as a musician.
Peghead Nation for me is an affordable, convenient way to learn new things on the guitar and mandolin. I love being able to simply use a tablet, phone, and Bluetooth speaker or headphones and go at my own pace. I’ve taken resonator guitar and mandolin courses and I’m currently taking flat picking guitar course. All the instructors are excellent!
Peghead is an excellent resource - I've gotten quite a bit out of it. Would be nice if Chad would dive a little deeper into chord extensions, diminished sevenths, various voicings etc for us mando players. But by and large he does a great job.
Joe Walsh, in addition to being a fabulous and intuitive mandolin player, is a fantastic teacher. I've never taken a course where I was eager to learn every song offered. And we're talking 50 songs!! I would have to say that it is the best value of instrumental instruction I've ever taken. Thanks Joe for sharing your beautiful gift!!
