Good for entry into SSDLC. (If you never touched DevSecOps). If you've been working in application security (product security/DevSecOps) for a long time, you might find this a bit boring. You might want to check out the DevSecOps Expert Course instead.
Hey Andrei, Thanks for the honest feedback! You're absolutely right - CDP is designed as that entry point into SSDLC for folks new to DevSecOps. Good call recommending the Expert Course for experienced practitioners. Thanks for helping others find the right fit! Regards, The PDSO Team
The Certified DevSecOps Professional exam was a solid mix of DevOps and security concepts. It focused on how to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, covering areas like SAST, DAST, IAM, container security, and secrets management. The questions were mostly scenario-based, so understanding real-world application mattered more than memorization. It felt practical and relevant, especially for cloud and DevOps roles. Overall, it’s a good certification if you want to build secure, production-ready systems.
Hey Gandhi, Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Glad the scenario-based approach and focus on real-world application over memorization resonated, that's exactly how we think security should be tested. Perfect for building secure, production-ready systems! Regards, The PDSO Team
As someone who has worked through several security certifications, CAISP stood out for how practical and current the material feels. Rather than leaning on memorization-heavy content, the course digs into real AI attack techniques, tooling, and scenarios you'd actually encounter in the field. The exam reflects the same philosophy, rewarding applied thinking over rote recall, which is refreshing compared to many certs in this space. If you work in IT security and want a credential that keeps pace with where the threat landscape is actually heading, this is a strong choice.
Hey Dan, Thanks for this thoughtful review! Really appreciate you highlighting the applied thinking approach versus rote memorization - that's a deliberate choice we made to keep pace with the evolving threat landscape. Coming from someone with multiple security certs under their belt, that means a lot! Regards, The PDSO Team
Very well organized content, very simply explained, content and platform built in a very intuitive way. Content aimed at DevSecOps perspective, which aligns with the name.
Hey G T Thanks for this! Glad the organization and simple explanations made the platform intuitive, and that the DevSecOps focus delivered exactly what you'd expect from the name. Thanks for the detailed feedback! Regards, The PDSO Team
I have only ever seen educational material this well organized from SANS, who charge 10x the price. It was an excellent class and I will be taking more DevSecOps courses because of how well this went.
Hey Scott, Wow, that's a huge compliment! SANS sets the bar pretty high, so really appreciate you putting us in that conversation, especially at a fraction of the cost. Excited to have you back for more courses! Regards The PDSO Team
The training flow and platforms are self-contained and easy to manage. The lab exercises are very useful, practical and provide hands-on experiences. It is the best. Highly recommend.
Hey Yijun, Thanks for this! Glad the self-contained platforms and practical lab exercises delivered the hands-on experiences you were looking for. Really appreciate the strong recommendation! Regards, The PDSO Team
The exam is perfect to go from zero to hero at devsecops. Awesome labs, challenging examination, lag free environment, 10/10.

I recently completed the Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification by Practical DevSecOps, and it was an outstanding hands-on experience. The course is highly practical, focusing on real-world DevSecOps practices like CI/CD security, container and Kubernetes hardening, IaC scanning, and tool integration (e.g., Trivy, Semgrep, SonarQube, Jenkins, DefectDojo). The exam challenges you to apply what you’ve learned in a realistic pipeline environment, making it perfect for anyone looking to strengthen their security automation and DevSecOps skills. Highly recommend for security engineers, DevOps, and AppSec professionals.
Hey Vignesh, Congrats on completing CDP! Thanks for the detailed breakdown - really glad the hands-on approach with tools like Trivy, Semgrep, and SonarQube delivered that real-world pipeline experience you were looking for. Perfect recommendation for the security engineering, DevOps, and AppSec crowd! Regards The PDSO Team

CASP certification does not only focus on offensive security and API pentesting. You will learn how to analyse vulnerable code and implement tools and techniques in CI/CD with the aim of fixing vulnerabilities so that they cannot be exploited, This added value is something that few certifications take into account. It is well worth it. The labs are stable and adequate, sufficient to finally pass certification.
Hey Miguel Congrats on completing CASP! Really glad you called out the offensive + defensive balance - analyzing vulnerable code and implementing CI/CD fixes alongside pentesting techniques. That's exactly the comprehensive approach we believe in. Worth every bit of effort! Regards, The PDSO Team
The CDP training/certification is intense and very resourceful. They took newbies into consideration and made the training as detailed as possible.I strongly recommended.
Hey Bambo, Thanks for this! Glad the intensity and detailed approach worked well, especially considering newbies in the training design. Strong recommendation appreciated! Regards, The PDSO Team
Practical DevSecOps is doing a fantastic job in promoting learning by practice. They’ve built an amazing platform that enables this vision. Their courses are well scoped and deep dive into the topics covered. If you are looking to gain actionable knowledge in the realm of Devsecops these course are as good as it gets. To touch on some areas of improvement I would have loved to see more challenges during the course labs. I think this helps the student in both consolidating knowledge and keeping the focus and motivation.
Hey Mario, Thanks for this! Really appreciate you calling out the learning-by-practice approach and deep dive coverage - that's our core philosophy. Your feedback on adding more challenges during the labs is spot on. That kind of input helps us keep improving the learning experience. Thanks for the detailed review! Regards, The PDSO Team

The practical nature of the course means that in every lesson you have an actual working example. The plethora of different tools presented in the large numbers of labs throughout the course and different means of integrating them into various pipelines prepares you for many different real-world scenarios.

Well-structured and practical, tested real-world CDP concepts rather than just theory. The certification was challenging but fair. It required clear understanding of the DevSecOps concepts and best practices. Highly recommended.
