I haven't been for a while but I like the expanded store with clay in it's own space. It's looking good. Staff was very helpful.
I would like to see the shipping charges posted somewhere and hope for a break point for minimum purchase for items that are not clay or other heavy equipment

I ordered 5 gallons of SP930 Swan…
I ordered 5 gallons of SP930 Swan Porcelain Slip $74, but the product I received was extremely watery with zero clay sediment at the bottom. More importantly, it is highly caustic. After briefly checking the consistency with my bare hands, it caused a chemical burn sensation and left visible pitted marks around my pores. This is not normal slip behavior. Be very careful with this batch—it feels more like a bucket of harsh chemicals than pottery slip. Highly disappointed.
Ordering on line has its challenges but we like the way your site shows us what you have and how to order it.
Normally order on Amazon for free shipping but what we needed was not available.
Seattle pottery has everything you need and then some. Prices are great, if something is out of stock they’ll let you know as soon as the item is restocked and shipping/delivery was quick. I highly recommend them.

Great home kiln.
After seeing several SPS videos about the 184 electric kiln and how it's perfect for the home studio, I went ahead and ordered one. The sales associate who helped me on the phone was knowledgeable and let me know there would be some lead time because it would be built after I ordered it. We live in Southern Oregon and we had it shipped. They kept me posted as to when they were shipping it. The videos on the website and the information packet are very helpful. I have the Genesis Spark controller on my kiln and it is so easy to use. It keeps track of every time I fire and if there were any error codes.
The great customer service is what takes me back to Seattle pottery supply.
They explain everything very detailed, especially when it comes to working with kiln. It was my first experience and little anxious how to operate the kiln.
I also bought my first Shimpoo pottery wheel from SPS. Same experience.
Highly recommend.
LOVE HELLBORN!!! People in my studio were very intrigued. We are wondering if we would get some kind of discount if we were to place a group order and having it shipped to the Glassell School of Art.

As Good As It Gets
I have been ordering from SPS since I moved to Washington in July 2024. I like their glazes much better than the popular commercial brands. They are beautiful, easy to apply and I have never run into pinhole or running issues with them. I can't decide which clay I like the best, but I am satisfied with continuing to use SPS clay for all my pottery. I have tried the Klamath and Vashon varieties. Very easy to work with- very "sturdy." I'd like to try Fools Gold, but being inland closer to Spokane than Seattle, the shipping costs are very hard for me to afford (not their fault). The staff has been excellent in communicating whenever I have a question. In an idea world, I could hop over to pick things up in person.
I recently ordered and received a lovely new Shimpo Whisper pottery wheel (is awesome). Service was prompt and delivery worked out well considering I am off the beaten path near Portland OR. Was minor issue with communication between me and the delivery company but Russell Wycoff was extremely helpful at ironing out the snafu. Thanks Seattle Pottery Supply for being there. Cathy Glass
