Third world hats for first world prices
Look, I respect what solid state is doing, US grown, locally sourced, etc. But when the marigold, all natural wool hat landed on my doorstep, it was in the form of the flimsiest piece of fabric I have ever seen. Like, sheer silk couture would have provided more insulation. It's like they made a regular wool hat, and then shaved it down to an eighth of its usual size. It was the sort of scrap of warm material that you would expect to see deep in Soviet Russia, handed out in the bread lines. It was the sort of hat that, if you were to wear it in temperatures south of 60 degrees, it would actually make you colder. One positive thing I will say is that the wool socks are legit. Very cozy and warm. Bottom line: you can tout your America made, ethically sourced materials, but it's shameful to sell such a pathetic sliver of wool hat, especially for a whopping 46 dollars! (On sale from 55.)

The Solid State Wool Ragg Socks
The Solid State Wool Ragg Socks - Salt & Pepper are warm, cozy, and durable. They look great and keep my feet comfortable. Only downside is they felt a bit tight initially, but loosened up after a wash. Overall, really happy with them!

I really like these tee shirts for…
I really like these tee shirts for myself and my husband. They have a great fit and hold up well in the wash. They aren’t flimsy. But most of all made in USA with cotton grown in USA. The only issue I had was that the box came looking like it had been cut mostly open but not completely. Three shirts inside were folded but loose… not wrapped in anything. Seems strange they weren’t wrapped or that the box wasn’t lined with tissue paper.

Mostly easy shopping. I was looking for a long sleeve pocket T-shirt. Hopefully as word gets out about this great product made here in N. Carolina, It will happen. Initial quality is good. I hope this American made Dirt to Shirt industry takes hold.

I love the shirts I have purchased from Solid State. Quality fabric and construction that withstands many washings.
Material is kind, workmanship is excellent.
So far I'm buying two kinds of clothing from you - the pieces that are for polite company, and the shirts that are for work. Two requests for work shirts for me; include an off-color stitch on the inside rear neck for easy front/back identification - the inks fade after washings. Double stitch the arm holes on my work t-shirts, I'm starting to wear them out.

Thank you for your review, Judith! Note taken on the double stitch. If you look at the neckline on the inside of the t-shirt, you will see that the back has an extra layer of ribbed fabric, called “neck tape,” which provides extra support. Hopefully this will help you identify the front and back easier.
very nice t shirts
fit is as expected. colors are a bit more muted than shown, but that is my preference. the fabric feels substantial and soft. i am very happy with my three t shirts.
