We are a family‑run sword‑making workshop hailing from Longquan 龍泉, China, a legendary place widely known as the “City of Swords” that boasts an uninterrupted sword‑forging history stretching over 2,600 years and enjoys worldwide fame. Our sword‑making craft has also been officially recognized as part of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage, representing the precious traditional skills of our nation. Our family’s legacy in sword crafting began all the way back in 1892, carrying forward a profound tradition that has lasted for well over a century. Holding sincere reverence for history and traditional culture, we have always stayed dedicated to handcrafting authentic traditional swords, faithfully preserving and applying ancient techniques that have been passed down through generations for more than two thousand years. From the selection of raw materials to the final completion of a sword, every piece goes through more than 20 elaborate and rigorous procedures. These include hand forging, manual shaping, careful hand polishing, precise filing, detailed refining, delicate intricate carving, exquisite copper inlay, cold forging, professional quenching, and careful clay‑tempering, among many other delicate steps. Our original domestic brand, CHEN'S SWORDS 1892 (陳氏劍莊), has built a solid and respected reputation across China.
