Great course

First Aid at Work, who knew it could be fun. Laura at Crown House Ipswich was fantastic, learnt so much and very thorough right the way through the 3 days. Explained everything clearly and I feel I have gained so much knowledge from her, feeling comfortable in all I have learnt. First time doing a First Aid course and I really enjoyed it. Great valuable skills. Highly recommend.

St John's first Aid course, Ipswich, Laura

My 1st time doing a first aid course. The class was instructed by Laura at Ipswich Crown House. First of all Laura needs the praise for how well she run the course. Very informative and using her own extensive experience, Laura included everyone, bringing others into conversations, interacting with all of us. I think that made us bond as a group and make this whole experience fantastic! It was at times close to home and emotional, but the way Laura handled these small incidents with compassion was absolutely lovely to watch. Overall the course was very good, covered loads of aspects which all relate to my work and will help if such accidents or incidents occur. Highly recommend St John Ambulance for first aid courses. I already cannot wait to return in 3 years for a refresher and hopefully with the amazing Laura again!!

It's a great place to train, I can say that easily

What made the experience great? Easy! The instructor is amazing, he's very real & practical, uses relatable scenarios and helps your imagination pop into real life scenario mode. For the 1st time I was able get a good pulse reading on my own wrist. The training room is not bad, the mannequins are practical, it's all good.

Just completed my first aid training…

Just completed my first aid training refresher with St John ambulance at King Charles hotel Gillingham and the Assessor Paul Haynes did a great job of keeping the course interesting and fresh with he’s own brand of cheesy humour and knowledgable explanations of the topics that we covered. All on the course were engaged throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Thanks Paul

I’m recommending Trudy in St John’s Ambulance Ossetian to everyone!

Just completed 3 day training in Ossett and Trudy is absolutely fantastic! She engaged the full group and gave us platform to share our experiences and worries. Her teaching style and energy is admirable, I haven’t met such a talented tutor in a very long time. I built up my knowledge and confidence to step up when help is needed, with Trudy’s enthusiasm and encouragement. Time on the course flew by so quickly! Thank you Trudy, you’re an amazing asset to your company!

I had my first aid training with Dom at…

I had my first aid training with Dom at St John’s Bury St Edmunds and it was absolutely brilliant. Dom made the whole course engaging, easy to follow, and full of real-life examples that really stuck with me. He explained everything clearly, had a great sense of humour, and kept everyone involved throughout. What could have been a long day felt enjoyable and valuable. I left feeling confident and well-prepared to use the skills if ever needed. Thank you, Dom, for making the training such a positive experience — highly recommend!

1 day Emergency First Aid

I attended an 1 day Emergency First Aid course at Bury St Edmunds. I do the same course through my company Ipsum every 3 years. The course was delivered by Dom Francis, I have to say his knowledge, presentation, and personal experience was unbelievable. The most fulfilling education event I have ever attended. Will done Dom. Best Regards Rob Scott

First aid training 2 day refresh course

Like to thank Lawrence Gower - read Trainer at Brighton Hollingbury. What an informative & great guy Very well taught & course constructed to cover everything you need to know as a first responder. Lawrence has a great teaching technique that is organic & engaging. Brilliant facilities & venue very happy. Thanks again.

I attended a three day first aid at…

I attended a three day first aid at work course in Gillingham 23rd to today 25th July 2025. This was the best course I have been on in a very long time. Darren our instructor was calm, professional, helpful in every way. Darren was a paramedic for 20 years and long serving Ambulance crew member. He passed on his invaluable experience and knowledge to the class with a great ability for us to learn. St John’s have got an exceptional instructor in Darren This course I will recommend and has so much value in the workplace Ron Olliffe

St johns amb. First aid course

Attended 3 day course because work sent me. That was the attitude I went with. I was wrong.I enjoyed the course thoroughly and learned a lot. Molly ( the trainer at Kendal) is very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. She is also clearly passionate about what she's doing and this is passed on in her work. Very good course.

Refresher training with Gili a success

Just completed a 2 day refresher training course in Leeds with Gili. Great interactive session, fab recap of previous training. Gili was a fab facilitator making the sessions interesting, informative with added knowledge using own experience bringing it all to life. Feel very confident in carrying out First Aid - thanks Gili !

St John harbours paedophile

St John ambulance harbours and protects paedophiles. Do not send your children or young adults to this organisation. Trust me I know I was raped & sexually assaulted in the 80s and 90s for years by a high ranking officer MBE (probably Jimmy Savile’s old MBE) and have only just reported it to the Police 40 years later. If you or anyone you know has been affected by this, please speak out/talk to someone sooner rather than later. I wish I had spoken out sooner. .

Debbi Renton Trainer - Darlington

My wife Joanne attended a training course run by Debbi Renton at the Denmark Street centre. She found Debbie to be engaging, extremely knowledgable and a quality communicator. One of the main reasons her company chose to utilise this centre, was due to its location in Darlington. She would highly recommend this course to other corporate customers that require first aid training, and would definitely recommend Debbi!
