I was using this website for couple of days and it is the original speed test website, I can feel the original speed when I download something. In future I expect that they should add file upload option that I just downloaded from the website, when I can also measure my proper upload speed
very usefull, quick and easy!
different file sizes and the right sizes too, 300mb 500mb 1gb + thank you!
Very useful website, no annoying ads, very recommended if you want to test your internet speed
just one word , AMAZING !!
If you work with networks, CDNs, download managers, QA pipelines, video players, or simply need reliable test files, testfile.org is an absolute lifesaver. The site provides a huge range of directly downloadable test files (PDFs, images, MP4 videos, and raw/dummy binaries) in many sizes — from tiny samples up to multi-GB files — so you can simulate real-world cases in seconds without signing in or messing with generators. Why I love it: - Instant, no-friction direct links: click and download the exact file size/format you need. Perfect for quick manual checks or automated scripts. - Wide format coverage: PDFs for rendering tests, MP4s for playback/streaming checks, and binary “dummy” files for bandwidth and throughput validation. - Real-world throughput testing: use the large files to measure sustained download speeds, CDN behavior, TCP connection stability, resume functionality and download manager reliability. - Dev & QA friendly: grab a file to use as a fixture for automated upload tests, integrity checks, or to validate storage I/O and write/read performance on devices. - Great for troubleshooting: reproduce customer reports by downloading identical sample files across networks and locations to compare results. - Simple, readable pages and obvious links — no clutter, easy to script against. - No signup or account friction — ideal for on-the-fly diagnostics. Top use-cases (who should use it): - Network engineers measuring real throughput and CDN performance. - QA teams validating file upload/download flows and resume behavior. - Devs testing HTTP clients, download managers, or error/retry logic. - Video engineers testing playback/bitrate switching and buffering with real MP4s. - App devs testing PDF rendering and large document handling. - QA for storage and I/O: check write/read speeds on devices by downloading/storing large test files. - Anyone needing reproducible test fixtures for automated scripts or load tests. In short: elegant, pragmatic and immensely useful. testfile.org removed a lot of friction from our everyday troubleshooting and testing workflows — it’s fast to use, predictable, and covers almost every file-based testing need you’ll have. Highly recommended to anyone who needs reliable test files without fuss.
this is a good website to test download speeds
I tried downloading the 10GB file along with other sizes over 1GB and they didn't work. Only 1 file worked and it was a 500MB download that I didn't want. The servers are very unstable.
great website, i like it
