As someone who reviews a lot of applicants even I knew that, but I didn't have the time to dedicate to make improvements and needed more guidance on how to make it more attractive as a job seeker. Nicole F was amazing. She understood the goals, laid out the process, and communicated any delays in getting to the finish line. Better yet, the end result exceeded expectations. I would not have been able to encapsulate over 20 years of experience and skills onto a single page and still keep it looking clean and attractive to employers. Money well spent!
There is no better use of your money. I tell everyone I know - The Job Sauce really elevated my resume in a way I never imagined. Companies I thought were out of my reach asked for interviews! I worked with Anna Yeager and she was terrific.
I purchased the service for the $279 package, it promised I could speak with my writer in is as little as one day and the schedule showed nothing available for one month. The phone calls are very unpersonable and timed. The service says no refunds so I contacted one of the people I had spoken to before I purchased. Jillian said she couldn't give me a refund, but offered to speak to my writer that was supposed to be assigned in one day, to speed things up, they hadn't read my submission which wasn't finished, because there was no scheduling for a month, so I could not believe a writer was assigned to me. She offered to escalate it and see if I could get a refund which is the option I chose. I saw that other people resorted to posting on here or social media to finally get a response, so that is why I posted on here. I was interviewing other resume services and had picked one, but declined that one because a company contacted me and I needed a resume fast. I was contacted my the owner of the company shortly after I posted here, and he told me he contacted me after seeing my post. I said I would take down the review or change it when I was refunded, which took about a workweek. I am not taking the review down because Jillian sent me a nasty text in the meantime. I upgraded it from one to two stars, no one should be sold something with a certain promise, met with a completely different situation, then treated poorly by someone in the company. There are some really good resume writer/coaching companies out there, do your homework and interview them all. You will be happy with the attention and time others give you.

We had an issue with our scheduling system and we now have ample availability. That said, you are justifiably upset this process did not go as planned and we know that had an impact on your job search, which is already a stressful period. Truly, we are sorry for the inconvenience and delay this caused for you. Given the public nature of this review, I will reply to a few of your concerns: -You never had a call with a resume writer, you spoke to a sales associate about buying a package. The call with a writer does have a time expectation, as is clearly stated on the website when purchasing, but they are personal. -You cannot schedule a time till your intake questionnaire is finished. Since you were able to see the scheduler, you had completed the questionnaire and Jillian had all the information necessary to help you get scheduled with a writer. -We processed your refund before you wrote the review because we had not resolved the scheduling issue and we knew that getting a refund was your preferred recourse based on your email responses. -Our CEO reached out to you directly less than 24 hours after you requested this issue be escalated. -I’m so sorry you had a negative interaction with Jillian. I worked with Debbie and I could not be happier! She met with me multiple times and I really felt like I got tremendous value from each session. She started by helping assess my strengths and skills and then we worked together to get my resume dialed in over the next few meetings. At the conclusion, my resume was professional, efficient and effective. I actually had a deadline for getting the resume polished up and she was very flexible and amenable to the time-sensitive nature of this task. I used Haley Spector. After I submitted my resume, Haley asked some questions regarding the resume. I responded, and then didn't hear back for 10 days. At this point, I had to reach out to her to get a response. Her next "edit" was asking me to add a year to an item I listed. After completing that, here we are again 5 days later, and I have yet to receive a response. The communication has been poor, and no updates have occurred to my resume. I asked for an updated copy, and have not received one. I have wasted $250. When she did respond, I did not feel as if she understood the industry/job, and asked questions that were not pertinent.

I will start by noting that this is a revised review. My first go-around with the Job Sauce and Lindsay did not go as expected. The process moved forward very quickly with what felt like little-to-no collaboration. At the end, I felt like I was more of an inconvenience than a customer. This was especially disheartening because I had explained to everyone I spoke to at the Job Sauce that I had been scammed by a resume service previously and was very wary about another one. I left a negative review and was fairly soon contacted by Scott, the owner, who let me voice my concerns and wanted to find a way to help. Lindsay and I also spoke again and worked to revise my resume to get it to a place where I felt comfortable. I was happy with the final product I received. That said, I would encourage the Job Sauce to adjust how it works with clients. The product and work I received were very good, but something like this should be way more collaborative and authors should take their time to explain why they are doing things the way they are - they are the experts, so explaining things goes a long way. On the other side, I encourage clients to ask questions and really provide serious, thoughtful input into the information being requested. There is no silver bullet to job searching, so being as thorough as you can with your writer is the best way to get a good product. I would highly recommend the Job Sauce and Lindsay to help get your resume into shape.
I was so excited about this at start, everyone sounded professional.. Discussed with my resume writer, answered all the questions they had for me. But after that, I haven’t hear back from anyone that I have reached out to at Job Sauce. Been trying to get in touch with multiple people for two weeks now about next steps. No response whatsoever! Very disappointed and this isn’t at all in alignment with the expectations they set for me about the whole process during my very first call. Btw, my resume writer also asked me to take my time to answer all the questions! A few weeks is completely ok.. and I trusted that. I would like a refund. Who should I get in touch with? Hoping someone will respond to this message on a public platform since I get no response to my emails!
