Nice being sure of availability.
It was nice to know in advance that what I wanted was in stock and would be waiting for me when I got there the next day. There was no issue in a return or changing sizes at that time as well.

Great service
Great service, good prices, and the best snowboard and boot rental I've ever had!
Sustainable Outdoors gear and rentals
This local shop is a Mecca for outdoors enthusiasts. And a shining example of sustainability, including gear rentals, used gear buybacks for trade/credt, and of course, your favorite outdoor gear brands! Especially loved their sock recycling collection last Earth Month - hope they do it again!

The Mountain Air: Wonderful Humans & A+ Outdoor Advice!
It is a privilege for a town as small as SLO to have a store as awesome as The Mountain Air! I specifically love their curated selection of hiking shoes & socks. I also love the fact that they demo gear; my wife & I hiked up Cerro San Luis with demo hiking poles, and this convinced us to make poles part of our hiking kit (making longer hikes much more enjoyable). Anyhow, if you haven't popped into the store you should...the owner & staff are wonderful humans on top of providing A+ outdoor advice! :)
