Great Experience for an Even Better Price
First was fantastic -- my fiance and I knew very little about the process going into it, but it was important to us to have a prenup before getting married. We were pretty intimidated at the projected costs/timelines of getting a prenup via the traditional route, and started looking at SaaS alternatives. Both the First software itself and the legal counsel included really helped us understand critical aspects of the legal side of getting married. My lawyer, Eve Helitzer, was extremely attentive and helpful through the entire process -- if you're getting married in NY state I highly recommend her!!

Really glad we worked with First. We did a rush prenup and everything was easier than expected. We were against a tight deadline but even with that everything moved smoothly and quickly. The best part for us is that this removed everything scary which was why we decided to go this route for our prenup. We were going through this together as a couple instead of being against each other. That made such a difference and was reassuring to us, instead of combative which we felt it might be when we interviewed local attorneys.
First helped take all the stress away from something we were dreading, which was why we procrastinated on it in the first place. The back and forth with our lawyers put us at ease and we would highly recommend using First - I have already sent this to engaged friends.

As easy as it is for people to get married on a whim, prenups felt really hard to figure out. There is one section that was aggravating to complete. In the section about 401k. She has one. I don't. She was willing to share. I have nothing to share. The system made us agree on something, when there was nothing to agree with. We couldn't move forward without changing our answers.

I would highly recommend First! My partner and I live in two different countries (a slight complication) and went through the option that provides two attorneys so we can make an arrangement for spousal support provisions. Like any negotiated contract, it's a process, but I can't recommend them enough. The process was thorough, the revisions easy to work through, and everyone was very responsive--things moved quickly. I had my doubts that they would be able to handle our somewhat uncommon situation, but I scheduled a call with them and the representative was both very helpful, very knowledgable, and answered all of my questions clearly (and it turns out that they can handle many situations that may seem unusual to those in them). We hit a couple minor kinks in the document revision process, but the attorneys quickly got them cleared up. Virtual notarization was smooth and we went though the whole process from start to finish quite painlessly. If you're even considering First, I would highly recommend scheduling a call, as it really put me at ease before we began!
