Our puppy had Giardia, breeder KNEW, as another puppy owner reported it right away, and breeder did not alert other puppy owners. Disappointed by that. Puppy is now on the mend but word to the wise, test stool IMMEDIATELY upon getting puppy so you don’t have a sick puppy for two weeks trying to figure out what is wrong like I did.
We have had an all-around outstanding experience with Walnut Valley Puppies. So much so that after only a week after bringing our new puppy home we chose to go back on the waitlist for a second one. Every step of the process from navigating the website and getting on the waitlist to picking up our puppy and getting her home was smooth and professional. There were no surprises, loose strings, or hidden costs. Expectations regarding the waitlist time were realistic and response times are incredibly quick, respectful and friendly. WVP is clearly a reputable breeder with the health and wellness of their puppies and parents in mind. We only had one point of contact (Jason Yoder) throughout the entire adoption process which was nice because it took the chance for confusion or miscommunication out of the process. He checked-in (and still checks in) regularly and always responded within the same day (typically within minutes). Not only did Jason answer all of our questions but he also helped us decide on the puppy that was going to best suit our family’s needs and lifestyle. We especially appreciated all of the photos, videos and the personality ranking system they use. Extra effort was also taken to help us navigate through the “preparing for puppy” prep work (puppy proofing the house and yard, setting up vet appointments and training, ordering food and supplies, etc.) in order to ensure a smooth transition when we brought “Harriet” home. We received a generous swag bag full of goodies and necessities (the blanket with her mom and littermates’ scent has been incredibly valuable) to help with the transition as well. Once we got Harriet home, it was obvious that WVP put in a bunch of work getting her socialized and weaned prior to the 8-week mark when we picked her up. She has been easy to crate train (we are going into week 3 and she has not had one accident in her crate - she’s even sleeping through most of the night!). Our new puppy is sweet and playful with our young daughters as well as any other person who will give her attention. We’ve had complete strangers come up to us to say how adorable and well-tempered she is and ask where we got her. Our Harriet is an adorable tiny F1B bernedoodle with a well-balanced temperament of curiosity and calm and she’s so smart with the training. If you’re looking for a bernedoodle, Walnut Valley Puppies is the place!

We had the best experience with Walnut Valley. They are so professional and produce the cutest and healthiest pups. They are truly invested in their puppies and like to follow them through life. We have the most cuddly and loving puppy and would 100% work with Walnut Valley again in the future!

After spending 3 months researching dog breeds and breeders, we choose a mini-bernedoodle and selected Walnut Valley Puppies to adopt from. After an additional 12 month wait, we introduced the perfect puppy to her forever home. To say that we did our due diligence would be an understatement. WVP was a pure joy to work with, and Jason is the real deal. Shared many texts and talks with Jason throughout the past 12 months AND many follow up texts after we brought her home. We found Bella online and contacted Walnut Valley Puppies.... they responded to all of my questions promptly and eagerly, always with care — even my silly questions. Everything was handled smoothly and beautifully, the puppies are so well cared-for and come with all of the information and starter supplies we needed as new puppy owners. We had a great experience with Walnut Valley Puppies! They were flexible, prepared, and communicated all information. Our puppy is in perfect condition and already used to little children. She is healthy and lively! I also was thankful for the “puppy bag” of materials: food, leash, records, toys, blanket, etc. I’d highly recommend Walnut Valley!

Everything has been wonderful from the initial phone call to getting our lil guy. They truly care about their puppies. They have checked in him also after he's been home. They stand behind their puppies and also make sure you provide a safe place for their puppy. You can tell her had an excellent start, because he's been so good. Our lil guy is super smart. Rarely barks or any accidents. The whole process has been amazing. Highly recommend this wonderful family.

I had a great experience with Walnut Valley Puppies when buying my very first puppy. They were very responsive and it is easy to tell they care greatly about the well-being of their dogs and puppies. I strongly recommend them for anyone interested in a bernedoodle!!

I had a wonderful experience with Walnut Valley from beginning to end. Since getting a bernedoodle can often take 1-2 years it can be hard to plan so you need a good company that communicates and has flexibility. I searched other breeders and liked that Walnut Valley allowed you to get some of your deposit refunded in case life situations changed and also let you pick your puppy unlike other places. If you are not ready you maintain your place on the waitlist which is also helpful. Jason is the main contact and he is fantastic and a good communicator. The website shows where you are on the wait list and has lots of other helpful links. Once puppy pick day arrived Jason provided videos and answered all my questions promptly. They also provide a helpful scoring system to try to match the personality of the puppy into your household. The transport went smoothly. My dog is just beautiful—amazing, adorable and smart. They also continue to support you after your adoption with a 2 year genetic health guarantee. My puppy has a little umbilical hernia which they told me about before I picked him and they will cover the cost of repairing—my vet was very impressed with that. It shows they stand by the health of their puppies. There is a Facebook page for the Walnut Valley Family who adopt their puppies and it really feels like a family you are lucky to adopt into! - Janice Blanchard
