Hi. I have been using backstage for a few years and have booked commercials, voice overs for movies, movies and ugc. Recently backstage decided to change how they list UGC's....stating this is the new home for UGC's. I liked how they were listed prior to this "new home". The previous method allowed to filter for gender, age, etc..... ??now I must sort through UGC's that do NOT fit me and my specific demographic. Why take away this feature? Why make talent sort through projects they are not able to book? In summary I like to get paid and time is money and now I must spend time sorting through jobs I am not able to work on and need to take an additional step to look at the project details and determine if they want a male/female/gender non conforming/african american/asian/18-25/35-45/50-70 and all of that was once sort-able and the user could filter based on their individual needs.

Even at the lowest tier of service I feel like I can be seen on backstage even though I'm new to voice over. It allows me to take my time perform as best as I can for those that I audition for while taking my time to learn and grow. Definitely best for starting out in voice over and entertainment on a low budget.

I love working with backstage! It is full of different opportunities! Update: let’s make this more in depth, since I do believe in this app. As a UGC creator, that just started at the end of 2025, having this app has been extremely beneficial. The annual membership is soooooo worth it. Most of my jobs have been from this app alone. Don’t overthink it, the annual fee for this app will be paid within 1, at the most 2 jobs!
