The best thing about Greenback
The best thing about working with Greenback is the interaction with an experienced tax accountant who is responsive to my questions, and who is very knowledgeable about my circumstance because he has been assigned to my account consistently for several years of filings.
The process was smooth
The process was smooth, other than the questionnaire which did my head in. It asks for numbers that are included in the tax documents provided, I didnt see why I had to cherry pick information from documents I am unfamiliar with. When it gets to the point where I am confident doing this, I can do my own tax returns. In the end I ignored the emails to complete the questionnaire. Other than this issue, I liked my tax preparer,he asked all the right questions, I feel confident everything will go well.

Over the years my US taxes have become simpler, but it is nice to have the peace of mind to know that the return will be done professionally, and in a timely manner. Greenback delivers that reliability.
Worth It
This service really helped make what was a bewildering labyrinth of accounting requirements into a doable endeavor. I couldn't really ask for more. My accountant was reliable, over the course of many weeks and months, answered all my questions specifically and promptly, and was very knowledgeable. I never would have been able to get through all the machinations of IRS requirements for overseas US citizens without him.

I used Greenback for my expat tax filing this season and had an excellent experience overall. The process was straightforward, communication was clear, and everything was handled on schedule. My preparer, Rakhy, was knowledgeable, responsive, and patient with my questions about cross-border issues. She explained things clearly and kept me updated throughout, which made the whole process a lot less stressful. There were a few points that required clarification along the way, but Rakhy always followed up quickly and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. The final return was accurate and filed well before the deadline.
