They removed the “Bookers can choose an appointment” feature for free accounts, meaning bookers can now only select a single duration. This makes the service completely useless for me, as I need bookers to be able to choose between a half day and a full day. We also make these appointments for charity, so it’s not possible to pay for this service.

You’re right: the ability for bookers to choose between multiple appointment durations is no longer available on free accounts, and we understand that for use cases like yours (especially for charity work), that can be a dealbreaker.
While multi-duration selection isn’t available on the free plan anymore, one possible workaround (if it helps at all) is creating two separate booking pages (one for half-day and one for full-day) and sharing both links. We know that’s not as seamless, and it may not fit everyone’s setup, but I wanted to mention it in case it’s useful.
Our free plan is designed to support simple scheduling needs, while more advanced booking logic is part of our paid plans so we can continue maintaining and improving the product. That said, feedback like this is genuinely important to us, and we do pass it directly to our product team when making decisions about what’s included at each tier.

Book-me free version is quick and easy for parents and students to book with teachers. Parents usually make email contact, and it is fast to send them the booking link. Many colleagues are asking me to show them how to use Book-me to trial it. However, several have commented that they do not want parents and/or students having access to their Google Calendar. Perhaps they are not aware that they can cancel or reschedule bookings. Thanks for the handy tool to make my teaching job easier.

Brilliant product
Years of service from a brilliant product, very intuitive, including taking clients payments, saves so much time I now have time time for a G&T in the evening instead of wrestling with timetables and reminders. The automatic links to Zoom, Teams and Google Meet, mean being able to accommodate clients preferences. The odd occasion I have asked for advice, response has been prompt and efficient. This product is not to be trusted. Plus this is WAY overpriced (54$/month for a team of 3, it's more than our whole Workplace suite).

Absolutely wonderful customer service.
I have been a long-term, approximately 15 years, client of You Can Book Me. In the years when I was actively working, I absolutely found invaluable the ability to share my calendar link with anyone and offer them the ability to schedule time with me. In the past 13 months, my life has changed completely, my husband passed away, and life had been chaotic for the past 2 to 3 years. I completely forgot about the automatic renewal that happened automatically a couple of days ago, yet when I sent a request to cancel the usually non-refundable automatic renewal, the staff went above and beyond in order to issue me the refund that I had requested even though it was normally not their policy. Rodrigo was very, very helpful. I would highly recommend this service and will return to it myself if my situation changes and I find myself needing a calendar service again! Thanks so much!

I use YCBM for scheduling interviews, which are attended by several people in my company. It’s so easy for interviewees to find times that work for themselves and all of my team. Instead of hiring an assistant, we just use YCBM!
I also like that we can customize the pages with our own text, brand look, reminder schedules, etc. It feels very high touch to guests.
