Hello, I recently purchased a 3-month membership on Ewa. I really liked the concept — practicing English through videos from movies, TV series, and real-life situations is engaging and practical. However, I’ve been quite disappointed with the video quality. The main issues I’m facing are: • The sound quality is often very poor, making it hard to understand the dialogues clearly. • English words are frequently mumbled or swallowed, and the pronunciation is unclear or too fast. These problems are negatively affecting my learning progress. Since the main goal is listening and comprehension practice, struggling to hear and understand the content defeats the purpose and reduces my motivation. I hope you take this feedback into consideration and improve the audio clarity, sound quality, and pronunciation in the videos. The idea and content are excellent — with better technical quality, Ewa could be a truly outstanding platform. Thank you.

Stop taking my money

No option to easily delete your subscription in the app. I am currently paying for an app I had deleted. The reason I deleted it was the its insistence in you passing muktiple simple tests to get to a level that is challenging. Downloaded the app again to see I could cancel but no. A million questions again. Very frustrating

Cancelled after 2 days but no refund despite guarantee!

Subscribed based on a Facebook ad and went through the testing for Italian to show I was at the Intermediate level. On the website I was only offered a beginner course, and when I downloaded the app, it only wrote to me in German and wanted to teach me English, my native language. I therefore cancelled my subscription after just two days and requested a refund, but they have not given me one despite their Money Back Guarantee. Very dissatisfied with their customer service.

Hello, I purchased the EWA app through Instagram. When I wanted to cancel my subscription, I couldn’t find such an option in the app. Secondly, I tried the websites, but even though I clicked the cancellation link, the cancellation page did not open. I think there was a problem with the website. Finally, I contacted customer service, explained the situation, and requested a refund since I was still within the trial period. Customer service replied that they could not help and provided no assistance at all. I do not recommend purchasing this app because they do not respect consumer rights. Don’t lose your money. Be careful.

I highly recommend staying away from the Eva app. This company uses highly unethical and deceptive practices ("dark patterns") to trick users into hidden auto-pay subscriptions. They deliberately bypass Apple's official In-App Purchase system by embedding an external payment processor (Paddle.net) inside the app. Their checkout layout is intentionally confusing, aimed at making you subscribe without your clear consent while completely hiding the recurring fee structure. To make matters worse, they have built the system to ensure that cancelling the subscription is a nightmare, forcing users into a loop. This is an intentional financial trap designed to drain money from unsuspecting users. I have already reported them to Apple and will be taking steps for a bank chargeback. Avoid at all costs!

Poor service, placement and big run around

The placement test put me too easy. No one to help. After verifying subscription and email, they say they will be in touch in a few days. Extremely frustrating run around

I have had a very negative experience

I have had a very negative experience with this app. There is no clear or accessible way to cancel the subscription within the app. For months, I tried to cancel and contacted support multiple times without receiving a real solution. Despite my cancellation attempts, charges continued through a third-party provider (such as Paddle), which made it even harder to stop the payments. The subscription system is not transparent and the cancellation process feels intentionally difficult for users. In my case, I had to contact my bank to block the charges. I do not recommend this app. I strongly advise other users to carefully review the subscription terms before signing up. He tenido una experiencia muy negativa con esta aplicación. No existe una forma clara ni accesible de cancelar la suscripción desde la app. Durante meses intenté darme de baja y contacté al soporte en múltiples ocasiones sin recibir una solución real. A pesar de mis intentos de cancelación, los cargos siguieron realizándose a través de un tercero (como Paddle), lo que complica aún más detener los pagos. El sistema de suscripción no es transparente y el proceso de cancelación resulta deliberadamente difícil para el usuario. En mi caso, tuve que recurrir a mi banco para bloquear los cobros. Very poor customer service

At some point I got signed off of my paid account with EWA. I could not find a means to change my password,as I did not remember it. I emailed them and they wanted a copy of my invoice before they would help me. I paid for the app access several months before and, not anticipating problems, did not save the invoice. I provided my name and the approximate month that I paid for their services. They apparently are incapable or unwilling to look me up in theor customer database as they continued to demand proof of payment from me instead of looking for my information in theor records. I am not impressed.

The lessons are very good but the access it's just horrible. I pass hours to fine how ti be connected and iven now I am able to follow (to connect) lessons often by hasard. You need absolutely facilitated the access to your lessons. The level of computer skills to received lessons it's much to hig !!

The lessons on this App are essentially the same as on Duolingo. The videos they also have are terrible. Many dubbed Spanish over American TV shows. I doubt they have paid proper royalties. The Spanish does not match the lips of the characters as they speak. It is full of vibrant ads trying to sell you more features for extra money. I’ve tried to get them to cancel and refund my 3 month subscription but they are failing to do so. Don’t buy more than a month if you want to review it. There is no free trial period. In my opinion a terrible app.
