Mixed experience
This service is very convenient and takes the uncertainty out of buying train tickets. As promised the tickets were awaiting our arrival at our Beijing hotel. Our only criticism would be that the seats allocated to us seemed to be positioned with the worst possible viewing opportunities. The train trip from Beijing to X'ian had us seated at the very front of the carriage facing the wall and with only half a window. Our second trip had us with only half a window as well so they would not be the seats we would have chosen. It seems that the least popular seats are allocated to foreigners? We had a driver collect us from X'ian who had a very nice clean car and was most professional. Unfortunately the driver collecting us on arrival in Beijing was not waiting at the arrivals area but some distance between our disembarkation area and the car park. This caused a great deal of confusion and doubt, not to mention time wasted looking for him. The vehicle was a van and the driver spent some time arguing at the exit when payment was required. So two very different experiences with a huge contrast in service and satisfaction from our perspective. In charging significantly more than a taxi fare, our first trip delivered as expected. Not so the second journey.. We also had a day tour in Beijing and another in X'ian and could not fault the organization of the day, the knowledge of our guides the excellent lunch.

Your team got us some very hard to get tickets from Xi'an to Lhasa for us and I appreciate your teams passion and commitment. I feel I may have failed at communicating some of my requests and those were overlooked. I wish I understood the ticket buying process better as far as being able to communicate my preferences in a way that if one type of ticket wasn't available that you would know to immediately try my second selection. None of this was a failure on the company but might be something that other customers might think about when buying tickets. Specifically if you are trying to buy hard to buy tickets if you choose to have the tickets delivered you are only able to purchase 28 days out, If you agree to pick them up at the train station they can be purchased online 30 days out. It seems that the companies go by the Train number first so if you have requested soft sleepers on a certain train the next thing that they will try is the hard sleepers instead of trying soft sleepers on a train from another"station with a transfer at said train station. It can get pretty complicated if you are trying for hard to book tickets. Try to be patient. China Highlights will do every thing they can to help you. Unfortunately due to hurricane Irma we were not able to make our flight and therefore were not able to make the train.... Tickets can only be refunded in person so we took a loss. Something else to consider.

Timing is punctual, clean and efficiency in services. Friendly booking system and hassle free in collecting ticket at station.Areas to improve, 1)seating buttons need to improve as it seem loose that need to fix. 2)In house entertainment system, example add movies or documentary as to me it a 5 hours ride. Encountered a lady sitting across me, she talk non stop to her boyfriend throughout the ride to Shanghai. Very noisy and disturb the peace of Business Class guests. Wish there is a way to educate her give consideration to others.
