Terrible customer service from Cypherock.

Terrible customer service from Cypherock. I have sent numerous emails seeking customer support, and so far, after two days, I have received no response. Communication is extremely poor, and getting a meaningful response or resolution has been incredibly frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Cypherock at all. Customer service matters, especially when you're trusting a company with an important product, and my experience has fallen well below expectations.

Solid Security with Great Potential, but Needs Critical Updates!

Overall, I am very satisfied with the Cypherock X1. The Pros: Superior Security: The use of Shamir Secret Sharing with the device and four backup cards is a brilliant security approach. Design & Utility: The sleek, non-obvious design is excellent, and the ability to hold up to four seeds is highly practical. Flexibility: It can function as a standalone backup device and supports a dedicated BTC-only firmware option. Inheritance: I really like their inheritance plans, which offer a great solution for long-term estate management. The Cons & Critical Security Concerns: Major Security "No-Go" (Inheritance Plan): Regarding their inheritance feature, you currently have to type your passphrase into their software rather than on the device itself. This is a massive security risk and an absolute no-go for me. App Limitations: The Android app interface feels outdated compared to competitors, and currently, it only supports receiving—not sending. Hardware Interaction: The small screen and joystick input make typing long passphrases cumbersome, potentially discouraging users from using them. Asset Support: It does not support as wide a range of altcoins as other wallets. Conclusion: I really like the product and its security-first philosophy, but the way passphrases are handled within the inheritance plan is a critical flaw that needs to be fixed. I hope future versions bring a more modern user experience and address these vital security and interface concerns.

Frustrating and Unresolved: Mistaken Transfer Met with Inadequate Support

My experience with Cypherock has been deeply frustrating and, to date, remains unresolved. While the company's product, a hardware wallet, is designed for security, my interaction with their support team has left my funds anything but secure.A mistaken cryptocurrency transfer of a significant amount has been met with a partial refund and a closed support ticket, leaving a substantial balance in their hands. It all began with an accidental transfer of 3.12729797 SOL to a Cypherock wallet. At the time of the transaction, this was valued at approximately $675 USD. After months of attempting to get this resolved, the company has only refunded $130, which they stated was the cost of their product minus a "convenience fee." This response completely misses the point of my repeated inquiries. The issue was never about the price of the product; it was about the mistaken transfer of a much larger sum of cryptocurrency. My attempts to clarify this with their support team, including providing a link to the transaction on the blockchain, have been met with what feels like a complete lack of understanding or willingness to properly address the situation. The support ticket for this issue was closed without the core problem being solved. My follow-up emails have, so far, not resulted in the ticket being reopened or the remaining funds being returned. This experience has been a stark contrast to the security and peace of mind one would expect from a company in the cryptocurrency hardware wallet space. While I can't speak to the quality of the Cypherock X1 wallet itself, the customer support experience has been incredibly poor. For a company that deals with the security of digital assets, the inability to handle a straightforward issue of a mistaken transfer is alarming. I am still hoping for an amicable resolution where the remainder of my funds are returned, but the process has been disillusioning.

The Best Cold Wallet I've Ever Used

I switched from a Ledger and have zero regrets. The Cypherock X1 lets me securely store multiple wallets in one device and even back up my other seed phrases using Shamir's Secret Sharing. The team was super responsive to my questions before buying, and the inheritance feature is a great addition, no other wallet offers something this secure and trustless.

Cypherock X1 Review

I can confidently say this is one of the safest and most innovative hardware wallets available. What stood out was its non-custodial inheritance, ensuring that my cryptocurrencies remain secure even in unforeseen circumstances. Setting up the device was also straightforward, and the USB-C support made it incredibly easy to connect to my PC. The overall user experience is smooth, with a sleek design and intuitive interface. Knowing that my assets are protected against physical theft, hacking, and even loss of access gives me great peace of mind.

I placed my order on 1/17 and finally got it here in California via Fedex on 2/21. Easy to set up, nice design, so 4 stars despite the wait. I emailed about the delay and did get a reply after a few days. Tracking email indicated it arrived on East Coast at Fedex on 2/13 and I didn't get the shipping # but know from experience that it takes about 7 days coast to coast.

I placed an order with Cypherock on February 2nd (Order #7700) and only received an order confirmation. Since then, my item has not been shipped, and I have received no updates whatsoever. I have tried contacting their customer support multiple times via email, but they have completely ignored my messages. This lack of communication is unacceptable for a company selling security-related products. At this point, I have no idea if I will ever receive my order or if I need to request a refund. If Cypherock cannot even handle basic customer support, how can they be trusted with security solutions?

No integration for DApps on Solana

The wallet doesn't work with DApps on the Solana Blockchain and they don't advertise this fact on their supported coins website. When requested for a refund, it was denied for security reasons which is understandable. However, I wouldn't bought the wallet in the first place if it was correctly advertised what is supposed to work on what Blockchain. After contacting support I was told that the DApp support for the Solana Blockchain was in progress when in fact wasn't even under review. So now I have an expensive paper weight.

I bought a Cypherock wallet a few…

I bought a Cypherock wallet a few months ago, but unfortunately I am still looking for a cold wallet today. One of the cards did not work and I couldn't even set up my wallets. The customer service is a joke. They asked me to check a bunch of things and then asked me to send the product back to India while promising paying me back the delivery fees (over 30euros sending from Europe) as soon as they received the product. I send back the product a month ago and asked them for a reimbursement for the parcel and then an update for the replacement of a functional product, never heard back from them... So from my experience, I would say that the idea is great but the product quality is random and the customer service is a joke. So I am sharing my experience, hoping to help other avoid paying 160 euros for an expensive lesson like me.

Loved the hardware wallet, game changer in the cold storage options

This is my second hardware wallet. I owned a Ledger Nano X before this one. Switched to Cypherock X1 after getting on a call with the founder. The Cypherock Team has created an amazing product. I have been using the Cypherock X1 for 3 months now and I have never had this level of peace of mind when Crypto hacks are happening all around the world. I think it is a great option for anyone who is looking for safest self custody option. I would highly recommend getting a Cypherock X1. Loved it.

The best hardware wallet for cold storage!

The best wallet I have come across so far for cold storage of my Crypto. The fact that I don't need to manage a seed phrase backup is gamechanging. Eagerly waiting for the inheritance service to come out which I got to know about when I talked with the founder on call.

An amazing step ahead in keys/seeds management

I saw the Cypherock wallet and ordered it. I received it in just a few days and it is exactly what is shown in their website. Seeds is stored fractioned in multiple cards and in the device, and the flow to process a transaction is smooth. Manages multiple seeds in the same device, which made me get rid of the several Ledger I was using. I feel also relieved that if I do lose my safeguarded written copy of the seeds and the device, I can still recover all. They offer to generate wallets even without ever seeing the seed, but not my way of doing things... Still was my mom in need of managing Web3 assets, then it would be excellent that she has not to deal with storing a seed phrase, and yet not be worried in case she loses the device. Amazing hardware!
