Very helpful

In my opinion it's the best site about improving your eyesight. And if you're willing to put in some work, all the information is available for free. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to get rid of their glasses. You have nothing to lose.

Great Method for Taming Myopia

I think the material on this site is great. I have tried the Bates method before and really didn't get anywhere. With the techniques of this website I am able to have more control over my vision and achieve more visual clarity. I feel that with time my myopia will get better.

Jake's method is the best thing out…

Jake's method is the best thing out there for anyone who, like me, is disturbed by the fact of their increasing lens-induced myopia and wants to stop and reverse that process naturally. The method is not a quick fix. It's not easy, results are slow, and it takes a fair amount of commitment, but it's something that you empower yourself with, not something that a corporation gives you (like glasses, contacts or Lasik) which you shell out a lot of money for and just passively accept.

Great site

Great site. When I started wearing glasses a few years ago I thought I was gonna wear them for the rest of my life continously getting a higher presciption. Luckily, about a year ago I found a YouTube video of a woman showing how she had been reducing her diopters thanks to some guidelines she had been following from a guy called Jake Steiner. I was curious about that, so I started searching more information regarding that guy and his method, so I found endmyopia.org and started reading all the posts he (Jake Steiner) had been posting and at the same time learning that my myopia could be reversed naturally without any LASIK operation. That completely opened my mind about how some things truly work. Although I haven't been completely following all the recommendations that are in the webpage to reduce my myopia, I've managed to atleast stop my prescription from getting higher ( now it's at 2.5 diopters in both eyes) and use glasses that better fit my eye needs ( my optometrist recommended me some overprescribed glasses ( 3.00L 3.25R diopters)). I really recommend this site if you have myopia and want to get rid of it, it'll take time but if you read all the posts and work each day towards that goal, you'll finally achieve it and will enjoy the feeling of seeing the world with clarity thanks to your own eyes, not through some glasses.

Your eyes are not "broken"

Endmyopia is an inspiring resource for anyone who is curious to learn about eye anatomy and the principles behind reversing myopia. These ideas can be controversial and even heretical to establishment optometry. Be your own optometrist, but you must do your homework- don't fool around with curved plastic. You can sign up to the mailing list for a seven day intro to the concept with the option at the end to enter a structured program. All the info for myopia reversal is free however, and can be found somewhere in the blog using search feature. Oh, and for a laugh, read the "financial disclaimer" which is linked at the very bottom of every page, meow.

I’m pretty new to endmyopia so can’t…

I’m pretty new to endmyopia so can’t give you a comprehensive view but can say what I have found so far is really helpful. I have watched some of the videos and found them pretty useful like the importance of natural light (UV) in maintaining good sight. This is basic Bates method but Jake gives a common sense view on when to wear shades and when you can let your eyes get some natural sunlight. I have done the free 7 day program which allowed me to measure my prescription. It also made me realise that wearing my full prescription for close work is very bad for my eyes. Next step is some reduced prescription glasses and investing time to progress. Thanks Jake for your help so far much appreciated.

Excellent site on how to take control of your eyesight

I discovered Endmyopia at the end of last year when I was looking for information about how to improve my eyesight. For the first time I found something that really made sense to me and it works: so far I´ve improved 0.5 diopter. On this site you get all the science-based information about the beginning of myopia and the reasons why it gets worse and worse and how you can reverse the process. You find lots of quite uplifting progress reports and the very refreshing writing of a (slightly) ironic so called eye-guru :). So take your time to work through the information and then start the journey of reversing your myopia - it´s all about changing habits and being patient and consistent.

A platform for making eyesight improvement accessible to anybody

There should be absolutely zero surprise that our eyes are adaptable. They are a part, of course, of our body, the ultimate adaptation machine. And yet, somehow we’ve accepted a permanent crutch affixed to our face for the rest of our lives, because of an unwillingness to research the most basic principles of eyeball adaptation. Many “systems” exist to fix the eyes. The crux of the difference between Endmyopia and those? It’s not a system in the same sense; it’s not about prescribing some quick fix. It’s a system in a bigger sense - a system for structuring knowledge and providing first principles. It’s not a box of techniques - it’s an approach. An intelligent approach. So for some, that makes it more challenging than a system which tells you the reps and sets of eye exercises, the magic pill fix. I’ve seen criticisms that the information isn’t “organized” - nonsense. The starting point is clear - learn about the eyes. Construct a model of eye adaptation. Give your eyes the appropriate stimuli. It’s not “easy” to do - and it’s definitely not easy to construct an entire platform for making this accessible along the huge spectrum of human dispositions. Jake does that. For free. So get started. No, it’s not easy at first - it gets easier as you go, as you read and learn more. Not the other way around.

I am very grateful for this resource

I am very grateful for this resource, I have been looking for a way to improve my eye health and get rid of my glasses. I am excited to get more in depth with the material and learn more about my eyes and how to hopefully restore them to 20/20.

Jake's ideas look helpful

My previous attempt at improving my eyesight ended in frustration. The information I found on Jake’s videos and website explained some things that I had noticed and provided a number of new ideas. I’ve been making some changes and look forward to seeing if these will lead to improved eyesight.

Tricky to put together, but a lot of interesting information

The website does not organize the information in an easy to understand way, (relevant blog posts can be tricky to string together in a way that makes sense) but there is a lot of free info available. I can't verify if any of the techniques are effective yet but I do appreciate the effort that has been put into offering alternative options for folks with myopia, who usually won't get any options at all from their optician.

Mind-opening, and can change your life if patient

If anyone thinks these reviews are 'paid' or 'bots'. You're wrong. Endmyopia is about identifying and changing the habits that hurt your eyes. Its not for everyone. Most people want the quick fix which are glasses, but endmyopia isn't just about getting better eyesight, its about changing your lifestyle around. Reducing close up time, more time outdoors etc.

This is your site

If you want to rehab from myopia, this is your site. It has the most comprehensive and complete information about myopia, its causes and how to revert it. The truth it is Jake's method works, but as always happens with truth, it is not for everybody. Time, patience and discipline are a must if you want to improve your sight and get your goals. Feeling Empowered!

Having had glasses on for 20+ years and currently at -10, I am feeling empowered for the first time ever, because of ENDMYOPIA. Parents, grandparents, cousins all wear glasses. First time putting on glasses, my feeling was in fact excited. I almost felt proud to see my collection of glasses grew. But of course as the glasses became thicker, my eyes got smaller, I felt shameful, uncomfortable, scared, helpless, hopeless, and eventually numb about it. I thought my eyes were genetically ill; the progressive myopia was normal for me and that any attempt to stop it would be a stupid waste of energy-Mission Impossible. My curiosity of high myopia however, still exists, which led me to Jake’s video on YouTube recently. A few videos after, I read some posts on ENDMYOPIA, read a couple recommend research journals, and looked at an eye diagram very carefully for the very first time. I suddenly realized that I have been ignorant the whole time, and the power to control my eye health was actually in my own hands. Mostly importantly, Jake helped me to not just understand but also believe that myopia was reversible. I am just starting my journal of getting my eyesight back. However, to anyone who just discovered ENDMYOPIA: congratulations! The beginning of any success is to have a good understanding of what we are actually dealing with, to see real stories of accomplishments, and to establish trust and confidence in ourselves. ENDMYOPIA offers the educational materials, techniques, encouraging conversations, and the fun you need to see the world clearly again. LOVE <3

A new chapter of my life has just begun

I started to work with my eyes in the year 2011. Unfortunately I did some of the "eye-yoga" things but that didn't work for me... After 4 year of unsuccessful I gave up... Then I started this year with a new apporach and I found Jake's site on the internet! AND THEN it change everything (I new till now). The most powerfull thing for me that Jake Steiner in his videos said was that your eyes adapt to the environment. Yes, that's really true. If you spend 10/12 hour in front of your monitor and wonder why your eyes got even worse than you have to CHANGE something. So I did. I started to improve my eyes a little bit. And now a new chapter of my life has just begun. :-) Thank you Jake for sharing your great approaches!!!

Save your eyes

If you wear glasses or contacts, do not miss this site! I don't know how I managed not to know all this stuff for so long. The only reason I started googling vision therapy is because both my husband and I are very nearsighted (myopic). Some months ago, he had a scare with his retina that is ongoing. Namely, the myopia means that the eyeball has gotten longer, so his retina is at increased risk of detachment and now it is hit or miss. We are both patients at Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Center, one of the premier institutes in the world. I did my graduate work at Hopkins, btw. But the doctors aren't doing anything for him except waiting to see if the retina detaches so they can do surgery. So, I found Jake's site. And I started experimenting on myself. His recommendations to not use my regular glasses or contacts for close up work such as typing or reading have made a huge difference in just one month. I was edging up to a higher prescription at -10.00, and now I am solidly at -9.50. Now I added my husband to the experiment - the first thing I had him do was get a separate pair of prescription glasses for computer use. It has already reduced eyestrain, and we found through vision charts at home that his distance glasses were too strong, which was hastening the vision problem. I am pretty unhappy that we didn't get this info from Hopkins because it is clear that it is helping. And grateful that Jake took the time to share all this info.
