The lid contains a built-in solar panel and a light sensor, so the light will automatically charge when exposed to sunlight during the day. It is also designed to turn on only in darkness. If you test it in a bright environment, you can simply cover the solar panel with your hand or place the jar in a dark room to see if the lights illuminate. We'd also love to share a short video showing how the light works, as we believe it may help clarify its operation. However, we weren't able to locate your order based on your review.
